Sky Q

It's certainly not as user friendly as the old sky box. I've had it over 3 months now and still struggling to find my way round it.

Also the remote is way too over sensitive. If you sneeze it changes the channel.

Haha. Yes, I must admit reading up on it, it does seem a bit complicated.
The remote and screen layout for Sky HD is really easy to navigate and I don’t have any complaints with it.

Cheers for all the new replies everyone - useful to get your views on it.

I've got an engineer for Sky Q coming around this week. I'm just hoping there's not too much disruption when installing it.

Will it increase your regular monthly subscription costs?
The main point tempting for me is that it will allow me to watch footy and films in UHD - as I need to update the tv soon anyway.

Yeah it is useless if you watch a lot of live progs as i do,football obvs but thingd t

Takes ten minutes, they fiddle with the dish so sky plus is not usable anymore and just set it up and that is it

Interesting re dish alignment - so if I wanted to go back next year and re-hook up my HD box, it can’t be done? I’m other words once you’ve switched there’s no going back?

Unless you record tons of stuff at the same time or want it in every room with mini hubs then there isnt really any advantages, i was going to revert back to hd,you can do that if you ask them within 21 or 28 days, but i record a lot so stuck with it,alexa is busy with reminders

You cant use hd once you have Q in but they will let you go back to hd ,as i said within 21 or 28 days, they come and reset your dish for it

Ok ta. Tbh, I’ve no interest in having multiroom- with Sky Go it can be streamed to another 2/4 devices if needed anyway. I’d like a bit more storage space, but tbh it gets to be a joke the amount of stuff that ends up getting saved but never watched!

It reduced it from £92 to £73. Something about me being with them for so long as a VIP

So they don't need to do anything with the cables connecting to the sky dish? They just use the one from the original skybox?
