You cant use hd once you have Q in but they will let you go back to hd ,as i said within 21 or 28 days,they come and reset your dish for it

Ask them to fit a combo lnb. Gives you separate old style connectors as well as sky q ones. They fitted one for me because I said I had a freesat box to use as well.

Just fit a hybrid LNB that will work both systems. Around the £60 mark or do it yourself for about £15 if you have ladders. No skillset required and just slots on.

Handy to know. I must admit, I have from time to time toyed with the idea of a freesat box with hard drive.

I only found out about VIP due to COVID. I called up about being charged so much, yet having so few "services" and the woman I spoke to was very kind, appreciative of my "Loyalty" and offered to reduce my costs by putting me on this new service of Sky Q/Sky VIP. The new box isn't even costing me anything. I called up primarily because I was being charged for Sky Cinema and most channels are now HD (which I don't have) but with the new box, I will do.

Sky q now have amazon prime video built in, like netflix. Handy. Suprised considering amazon video is a sky store competitor.
