is it just one toilet, I don't know cause im in the family stand and don't frequent the scary parts of the ground, where people smoke and shout rude words at each other, and dare to stand up to watch the game. if so then why not just let them have it and everyone else avoid it, there are loads of toilets surely. compromise and common sense. and for you lot moaning about having to breathe in some smoke for 2mins every 2 weeks is a nonsense, its not gonna hurt you, I bet your the same morons who are now trying to get smoking banned in beer gardens aswell actually in the bars.

Something to do with the law and Environmental Health. The club have a resposibility to enforce the ban.
There should be an outside area for half time smoking though.

Why should the club go out of their way for smokers?

If smokers cannot resist a fag for 100 minutes then what they are doing at a football match is beyond me. A bit like those middle-aged wearing replica shirts with beer bellies hanging out.

I know it's "off topic" but reading this I couldn't help but remember my first away trip to Anfield on Boxing Day 1974. We were dropped of on the Everton side of Stanley Park and so me and my two mates decided we'd cut across the park to get to Anfield. All I'll say is that it's a bloody good job you can run like shit when you're 15 and being chased by bastard Scousers!

I asked the stewards about electronic cigs after I saw the recent clamp down around 110 and although banned which is counter productive to the situation in my opinion he basically said the same, if you're not silly about it nobody would be any the wiser.
Oh the reason given was if smokers see somebody smoking an electronic cig they are encouraged to spark up the real thing. - same old analogy from me, if I saw somebody kicking the shit out of a bloke I wouldn't think "oh, that's legal now is it, better go and fuck somebody up then?"

Still doesn't mean I'm happy to suck in some selfish wanker's smoke when I go for a piss though, pisses me off big style, fucking sad, pasty faced, drug addicts all getting their fix in the toliets. Pathetic, weak willed, death merchants.

I'm a non smoker but this.

Football fans in general are treated like shit and this is yet another stick to beat people with. If clubs feel so strongly about it, they should say non smokers only should spend their money with the club on tickets, beer, food, shirts etc but no, they wont go that far.

Just have one entrance open where they can go and have a fag at half tie ffs and then everyone is happy.
