So why has the thread not been ended ?...Still here isn't it mate. Not serious just find it funny how no blue likes the media slagging us off or making up bull from apparent sources, yet it is ok on here for blues to do it..Don't need to defend my integrity pal,I asked a simple question and some have taken umbridge with it..

Tis internet is all. Like other threads of non captured playing personnel i suspect the thread will slowly move down the board until it reaches page 43 or something, never to bother anyone again until Gazetta announce again that Sneijder is coming to City or some other Blue or ITK comes up with something related to him signing for City and, SHOOM, back to page one it goes.

I take what ITK's say at face value. I'm not going to doubt ITK's or those who say they had a strong belief that City were at one point close to finalising a deal like Damocles, but then i'm not going to ridicule, question or interrogate those that did when it doesn't happen. I just don't see the point in it.

ITK's on this forum are treated like Gods. The sooner everyone knows this the better. If you don't like what they say avoid it, as I do, if you're interested indulge yourself. My issue with ITK's is that they are weathermen. If the sky is dark, they predict rain. If it doesn't rain then it just wasn't meant to be. We have yet to meet an ITK with news that hasn't been spoke of in the press or around the ground because quite frankly no one but the board is in the know. The term is hyperbolic in nature and quenches only those who seek affirmation of what they came to the forum for in the first place.

Just some advice, take it or leave it.

Good advice, but a bit unfair on those who are privy to inside information imo. Lets just say that you had a 'contact' at the club who told you that we were interested in signing Sneijder. What would you do with this information? If you post it on here and confirm that newspaper stories that we're interested in Sneijder are true, only for negotiations to collapse (for one of many possible reasons) you'd have people like the poster above accusing you of being a wum. To my mind the whole point of the Transfer Forum is for people to pass on snippets that they've heard for the benefit of fellow blues. After a while you learn which posters are to be listened to and which are to be ignored. Either way don't get any tattoos done until the transfer is officially confirmed or steer clear of this Forum completely if it winds you up that much.

You speak of things that you don't know.

I know three people on this board who are personally attached to board members. Again, you are presuming things that you don't know about and are completely wrong.

I'll put this again, are you calling me a liar? My source is impeccable. If he said we were in for Sneijder, we were in for Sneijder. I am not a "weatherman". And to be deadly honest with you, I don't need to be treated like a God, I'm an admin on here, all of this is just text in a database to me.

Why people feel the need to make long rants on a subject that they have absolutely no idea about, is beyond me.
