Sneijder (Merged)

I find it strange that many on here are banging on about "Tevez doesn't want to be here"... and suggest then that his replacement should be Sneijder.

And he DOES want to be here does he? ;-))

There's a difference between a player who won't necessarily have grown up dreaming of playing for City but likes our financial offer and is satisfied with our level of potential to win things, and a player who is actively desperate to get away from this club, this league and this country.

So what you're saying is that Sneijder does want to be at City?

I hope you're right and that six months down the line we're not hearing the usual crap about shit Manchester is!

Re: Is sneijder twice the player nasri is?

There is also the fact that we would be giving the Premier league's top scorer, to one of our main rivals. ( How many millions could that be worth, should we end up 4th after Tevez helps the Arse to do the double over us )

Re: Is sneijder twice the player nasri is?

Apparently, according to one Arse fan I read on Sky Sports' website, Nasri is a six-month wonder

Sounds just like a biiter rag.

Re: Is sneijder twice the player nasri is?

No!

Nasri is younger, quicker, stronger and less injury prone. He's also played in the Prem for a few years now. He's also more versatile as he can play wide on either side and is brilliant in the middle too. I've seen Sneijder play wide two or three times for Inter and he's ineffective.

Sneijder is brilliant. But I would say as a whole package of an attacking midfielder, Nasri is a more rounded player that would benefit the team more.

to be fair we'd be saying the same thing if he had went to United. He did do the majority of his production in that first half of last season.

also, drives me nuts when people say a player is 'two times' or even 'ten times' better than someone else. Anyone actually wrap their heads around what it would mean to be two three five or ten times better than a professional footballer? It would be like God playing football.

Re: Is sneijder twice the player nasri is?

so how much would you value a nasri with 3 years left on his contract at?
