Now I have finally put to bed this thread can it be locked.

Cool.

Any chance you could solve the Israel-Palestine issue in your newly won spare time?

I would probably have a better chance than those currently trying to do so but how do you negotiate with a) a terrorist organisation that wants to see the total destruction of Israel, b) a group that uses their own civilians as human shields, c) a group that places no value on life and d) a group that doesn't actually want peace

Oh and without being pedantic there isn't actually a country called Palestine

I suspect your chance of negotiating a solution holding those views is not better than zero actually

Those are the facts unfortunately rather than an opinion. Bear in mind that Hamas this year has fired over 8,000 rockets indiscriminately at Israeli civilians. 10% of those fired in the latest fighting landed on their own people! That isn't propoganda, lies or fabrication but facts. Israel wants peace and probably so do the majority of those living in Gaza. However Hamas doesn't and theirin lies the problem.

Phil Neville is a sinfully dull bore who wouldn't get three minutes of my time if he wanted to engage in conversation with me in my local.

Rio Ferdinand is inarticulate to the point of parody. It is painful to watch the slow death of the English language when he opens his camel-like mouth.

If anyone cannot see that they have both been promoted significantly beyond their broadcasting abilities merely because they played for united then they are completely beyond help.

Yes but it's not proof of an agenda. It happened with ex Liverpool players after they were successful. Now after the rags period of domination it's their turn. Are you telling me in 10 years it impossible that the likes of Hart and Kompany could be anchors on motd?

In 10 years time, Vincent Kompany will be President of the World.

I dreamt last night he had left us. dreaming about city is sad enough but the content of the dream was even more worrying.
I dreamt he'd gone to play in the states and I'd gone over. each player wore an armband of how much they cost. some had 330k on them and our vinny had 60k, I was livid we'd sold him so cheap.

I've booked in the doctors later today :)

At least it makes a change from all those erotic dreams you keep having about me.

Just to liven the thread up a little.

From a rag on redcafe.
Consensus amongst a lot of my friends who support a myriad of different clubs is that the first time they will see the trophy being lifted from last season is when they tune into the first episode of this seasons MOTD.

I don't expect that's unusual. I could never bring myself to watch footage of united lifting the title until it was sprung on me.

It was an observation in reply to someone who said "you could almost forget that City had won the league this year"
The lack of media coverage of our title win hasn't gone unnoticed amongst the unwashed hordes.

Like you I would never watch the rags or Liverpool winning anything, and if they come on tv then I switch over. I would suggest they are commenting on the fact that they haven't had to switch over, because we've rarely been on.

Sorry pal. Didn't pick up on that - and yes, well observed point.
