SSN shows a clip of neymar speaking about his injury and the forthcoming final. a caption pops up as they do introducing him as neymar, barcalona and brazil.
the next player interviewed is aguero. now his caption just reads argentina. no mention of his club side. anyone got any idea why they would mention one players club, during a world cup, and not the other? the next guy interviewed is maxi rodriguez, yes you guess it from newels old boys and argentina. why's that then?

genuine question.

I personally do not give 2 shits and think u may need to see a shrink if u think this is an example of the media out to get us (which they are, this just isn't an example of it).

You use juvenile text speak on an adult forum and I need to see a shrink?

I have to say that there is a media bias against us. I have not yet seen one "SNUBBED" story regarding Arsenal United or Liverpool merely that these clubs decided not to pursue or dropped their interest yet we and Chelsea are forever being snubbed

It is an issue that will remain for a generation because those in the media now have been brought up with those clubs dominating English football whereas our and Chelsea's consistent success has been a much more recent phenomenon. I can recall the horror about the Etihad deal and complaints about how could it be right yet United's deal seems to be heralded as a paragon of virtue

It is tiresome I even read a headline on News Now about the Dundee game where it said "Money bags City" as though we were the only club with money. The impression the casual fan will have is that players only want to come to City for the money ignoring all the trophies we have won but that the saintly three have players queueing up to play for nothing but the love of the game. We are lamented as the ruination of young English talent whereas Liverpool and United especially nurture and help the England team

There is a narrative the media wish to tell of the evil empires of Chelsea and City versus the do things the right way empires of Arsenal, Liverpool and United. No matter what we do that will be how it is for the next 10/15 years but it will change. The written media is becoming less and less relevant as the digital age is upon us. Many news stories are writing about news stories rather than journalism as it used to be of scoops inside information etc twitter, online media have put paid to that

I think we as City fans have to just ignore the jibes and bask in the knowledge that nothing will derail what the club are trying to do. I personally dont subscribe to Sky and BT as I can watch City via the PC and I dont pay to read articles that is my choice others may take a different line but for those that do pay dont be surprised if you dont like what you see and read

Shower of shameless slackers

Same sort of thing with Real Madrid, they spunk tons of cash on world record signings and are building a squad to be admired around the world.

the power of alliteration ;-)

Gerrard fucks up for England and the dippers he is still amazing (despite the asault). Barry gets done for pace against the germans he is gash (despite being injured). Not an agenda but thick fucking journalists who dont have a clue about football

Answer = dont bite or dont buy/subscribe to the cluless fuckers

This. These were the same journalists who lauded Moyes as a logical appointment and labelled Pellegrini a gamble. They might be biased but they are mostly clueless.

What! A player preferring CL to playing for the world's biggest club? Perhaps, we are back where we had to pay over the odds to get a player to sign with no Euro footy. I wonder if they won't or can't stump up the loot. Is that report about a squillion £s for shirts a tad fictional?
