Well , we are lucky aren't we?
It's only pure luck that Sergio plays for us - obviously it has nothing to do with building a squad with the best players available. Did you count the number of times we were told how lucky Barca were last night to have Messi play for them? I'm sure we'll hear tonight how lucky Real are to have C Ronaldo wearing their shirt.
We were told how lucky we were that Bayern were missing some first choice players - did you count the number of times they mentioned that Silva, Yaya and Fernandinho - 3 first choice international midfielders- were missing?
You wouldn't have needed a calculator.

I can understand opposition supporters disliking our club , the money , winning trophies etc , but the hatred and vitriol from every section of the media is alarming , we will have to accept we will never get their approval , and we should stop beating ourselves up about it . Its simple economics , rags / dippers / arsenal etc. have a lot of fans , and they will read/view and enjoy any negatives about our club and this sells newspapers , subscriptions and advertising it is really that transparent .We shouldnt take it personally and just ignore the c*nts , we have had far more testing times than a few retarded hacks and pundits , dancing to the tune of their paymasters , its only a few years ago we were playing league games at edgeley park and gigg lane , we fight to the end.

Thing that really gets to me is the weak minds off opposition fans who believe all the shit the media spout. Us blues get annoyed and just laugh it off cos we know it's bollocks.

Example, just seen my neighbour (a fucking Bolton fan) and the first three things out of his mouth were-

1- you were lucky last night.
2- you're a one man team
3- why were there so many empty seats.

I replied "did you watch it then?'

No came the reply. I just walked if.

will anyone note that we've beaten bayern in half the CL games we've played against them? probably not.
There's one of our 'own' fans posting that we have been lucky to beat them three times as Bayern were already home and hosed in all three

I used to think ESPN UK was better, but reading Gab Marcotti's assessment, where he compares us to Samuel Jackson in pulp fiction is ridiculous. I get that things have to fall in to place for us to qualify but we BEAT Bayern fair and square. They didn't start with 10 men. Both teams were missing vital players. They still had 3 guys on the Ballon D'or shortlist in their starting 11. It seems that all their mistakes that led to our 3 goals were fluke errors, but the mistakes we made are not even mentioned. If Joe positioned himself better for Alonso free kick, he could have sat on the fucking ball to stop it! Mistakes happen on all goals in every match. You cannot take credit away from a winning team!
