Thing that really gets to me is the weak minds off opposition fans who believe all the shit the media spout. Us blues get annoyed and just laugh it off cos we know it's bollocks.

Example, just seen my neighbour (a fucking Bolton fan) and the first three things out of his mouth were-

1- you were lucky last night.
2- you're a one man team
3- why were there so many empty seats.

I replied "did you watch it then?'

No came the reply. I just walked if.

Best way to deal with the sheep.
I've got one at work, Arsenal season ticket holder, wax's lyrical about Ozil, thinks Arsenal are the best thing since sliced tiki-taki ,but he's been rare as rockinghorse shit this week.....

All this they only had 10 men.

Do not recall that being said when Trafford beat us in an FA Cup tie 3-2 in Jan 2012 ?

No it was, well Kompany deserved to be sent off anyway.

Don't know if this has been posted previously, but......

Watched the match on ITV - when Kun scored goals 2 and 3 did you hear in the commentary background someone saying quite loud 'get in'. Sounds like not all commentators / journos are anti-city.

will anyone note that we've beaten bayern in half the CL games we've played against them? probably not.
There's one of our 'own' fans posting that we have been lucky to beat them three times as Bayern were already home and hosed in all three

We beat them fair and square each time.
One thing the Germans cannot take is losing, they want to win.
Not many teams have beaten Bayern 3 times in recent years.

On a side note - lovely for it to be Jerome Boateng to make the mistake for the decisive third goal by Sergio.

Come on City, lets have the last laugh and qualify and make progress in the knockout stages.

Iv had serious fallouts with people over this shit. Give it the gob in their masses when we lose but go into hiding when we win. My facebook was doin overtime when we lost to cska. Not a fookin soul to be seen last night. The ones that did comment gave it 'you were lucky'. One gobshite didn't even make it into work today because they couldn't hack it after gobbing off.

We really are hated and we really don't warrent it.

It pisses me off because these same people gave me constant shit before our success. At the same time I love it as its nice to know how much it hurts them when we do well. Puts a nice little touch on the matter.

I was working last night so didn't see the game, but the radio was on so got to hear some of the commentary on GMR. It sounded as though we played OK and just had to try and break down Munich. I have watched the second half and seen the goals and would say from what I have seen that we let in a couple of "soft" goals. Hart should have done much better with the free kick and how Lewandoski scored with his shoulder is a mystery to me, a lot of luck was involved in that goal.

The second half I've watched looked like City were in control and just had to beat Bayern's offside trap which we did in the end, twice. We had shots against probably the best 'keeper in the world right now and he comfortably dealt with everything his defenders let through. I admit I haven't watched the first half yet and would love to see City do to European sides just what Chelsea did last night, but with our present form we are some way off this standard. However when we played Chelsea we went down to ten men and got the draw, so were Chelsea "aimless" and in "disarray" ? And we are all told what a genius Mourinho is and yet he couldn't hold on for a win against a ten man team when he played us. No mention of this in the post match comments.

I would say we are still the strongest team in the English league with a full strength squad to choose from. We are just better suited to play against sides who play football against us, however if a team sets up to hit us on the break and invite us on to try and find an opening then we sometimes get frustrated and can be beaten by a goal or two. Of course if we play a really good footballing side that has better players than us then we can come unstuck and struggle to get anything from the game. We matched Munich over in Germany but they just edged us, last year Barca beat us although we gave them a game over in Spain when we kept all 11 players on the pitch. We aren't far off the top teams on pure footballing ability but we cannot cope with teams that hit us on the break and we seem a bit "naïve" at times when confronted with teams which play in this style against us. Our European deficiencies mirror our league troubles not only this season but the times we have struggled in the past three or four seasons with this core of players.

The press seem to pick up on our weak points and don't see our strengths. There are exceptions to this, for example most Martin Samuel articles report on us in a non-biased style. I think it would be good if the club could be more pro-active in inviting some of the journalists into the club and meeting some of the people who work at all levels throughout the City group, from academy players to the people at the top. We cannot expect all journalists to love us and some are fans of our rivals, but if even Scholes jumped up to celebrate our winner last night then even our most ardent critics can be won over both on and off the pitch.
