so this agenda thing.

This thread is so long that I don't know if any of it relates to the original OP.

If it does, I have to say some look like they're making a big deal out of nothing.

You're angry because in a caption linked with Aguero, his club weren't mentioned. But with Neymar his club and country were. Is that correct? Is that what all this is about?

Correct me if I'm wrong

Not bothered to look at the OP, but the theme of an agenda against City is an ever-present theme amongst City fans

a) We have Man Utd rivals who have long shaped the way the game is run and reported
b) Usurped Arsenal, the Sky 4 - creates a backlash
c) Easy target for media hacks to make their product popular to rival fans
d) Targeted by elite European clubs through Financial Fair Play
e) Unequal treatment from referees and officials as compared to our rivals particularly Man Utd

There'll be more

I laughed at Moyes last season for moaning about the fixtures and the start they had. And now City fans are doing it. Its a joke. You play all teams twice. Thats the start and end of it. Doesnt matter what order they are in.

Exactly, plus, if we put together a good run over the first ten games we'll be laughing and it'll be a massive psychological blow to the other teams.

I see you didnt answer my question on our start last season
Out of our first 8 fixtures one difficult game,"the rags" & they even gave us that at home
Why would the prem league gave us a piss easy start like that?

Ok I will address the point about our 'piss easy' start, actually, if you take it on face value you could say it was easy, however, if you know something of the recent history of City it wasn't actually an easy start.

Newcastle (h) not as easy as you could get but happy with that as a first game
Cardiff (a) if you were going to play Cardiff a this was the worst time to get them and so it proved
Hull (h) yeh, pretty happy with that
Stoke (a) never get a result at Stoke away and didn't this time drawn 5 lost 1 of our previous 6
Rags (h) derby - difficult game and lost to them the previous season at home - the only game we lost at home
Villa (a) traditionally do well at Villa so happy with that before knowing the result
Everton (h) up until last season everyone had always had been our bogey side since 2010 we had lost 5 won 1 drawn 1
West Ham (a) Ok game
Chelsea (a) hard and we lost

So from our alleged 'piss easy' start we had Everton and Stoke where who we hadn't traditionally got results against since 2010 the rags who we'd lost to at home the previous season, Cardiff on their first game back to the premier league and Chelsea a (one of the hardest of the season) and then 4 games which you wouldn't complain about - not necessarily a hard start, but granted not one you would necessarily complain about. however there are only 6 what you would describe as 'tough' teams you can get so out of nine games you are likely to get 3 on paper easy games and we got 4

Contrast this with the rags first 9 games:

Swansea h
Sunderland a
Burnley a
QPR h
Leicester a
West Ham h
Everton h
West Brom a

Not ONE team that finished above 11th place last season, you couldn't have hand picked those fixtures any better if you tried and yet people STILL think this just was the hand that the fixture computer randomly dealt. That is what you call a piss easy start.

Yes of course everyone has to play the same teams ultimately so you are going to have periods of the season that are harder than others, but the prem league is about momentum and getting a good start is critical to how your season will pan out, which is why it's so important.

Hopefully the rags are that bad they will f@ck up but I don't think they are bad enough to lose many games against that lot of fixtures. It is a small but another example of the agenda at work, and I stand by it, no matter how many 'tin foil', 'pissing blood' snidey remarks that are thrown in my direction.

Right, time to give up man. You've listed a QUARTER of the season's fixtures. You're saying about us playing Cardiff early doors but don't think Burnley is a comparitive fixture for them. You say Stoke away for us is a notoriously difficult fixture, that is our problem. You also point out Everton being our bogey side - how is that the Premier League's fault?

Kev you are aware this thread is about an 'agenda' ? What I was trying to explain, and failing with you, is that perceived 'easy start' for us last season wasn't so easy when you consider that some of the teams in that easy start were teams that we had traditionally not got results against and also contained 2 of the previous seasons top 4. Of course our form against Everton and Stoke is not the fault of the premier league but the selection of the fixtures certainly is. If our easy start was to be 'piss easy' then Everton at home, Stoke away, rags at home and Chelsea away would not be games you would choose.

I've listed a QUARTER of the season for comparator with the rags precisely because it's a quarter of the season before the rags get a team that finished above 11th in the table and some people seem to think that's just the randomness of the fixture computer. My suspicion, as I alleged, is that the fixture computer is rigged to give the rags an easy start to the season. Also, it's reasonable to suggest that after a quarter of the season the league starts to take some sort of shape for the rest of the season so having such a run of easy fixtures is clearly a significant advantage.

I don't think claiming we had an easy start to the season last year (it wasn't) is a way of justifying how and why the fixtures have 'fallen' so kindly for the rags and 'attempted' to explain to you why our start was anything but easy and based on history contained fixtures that we had traditionally not done well in. As for Burnley when compared with Cardiff, I would suggest there will probably be more rags at Burnley than Burnley fans, it's practically a home game.

Frankly, I'm astonished that blues really believe that such a set of 'friendly' fixtures could possibly have fallen out at random. For me, it's another example of the agenda at work.

Are you guys trying to steal the 'always the victims' title from us!

Lol

Sky sports news just reported that utd have won every pre season game..
Kirsty gallacher was creaming her knickers about the rag twats..
They actually drew 0-0 in 1 match but hey ho, I guess she was blinded by the wankfest that is happening at ragworld at the minute....
And to think the way we crashed out of the same competition yet utd have coasted through it.....
The treble for Dutch potato head?

If I were rigging the computer, I'd schedule many of the tricky fixtures early doors and the "easier" ones for the final run-in.

So, if it's not random, I'd say the programmer is a Blue.
