There is one that has a poster who is one of our current players' close friends (i.e. he can actually pick up the phone and talk to him).

Even HE doesn't get info on who our targets are etc., so quite how TH does I have no idea.

This other poster gets info only when the deal is done yet perhaps not announced to the press yet.

You make a fair amount of assumptions and conclusions for someone who doesn't know me.

Players, in the main, know fuck all about ongoing transfers.

It is my business on a daily basis to establish and know what is going on, City and elsewhere.

Your cynicism is the only thing you are able to share with this forum, as is your arrogance to pigeon hole me.

I have chosen to not post transfer related info anymore because of posters such as yourself, who seemingly feel the need to save people from themselves?

It's the same every summer, difference is, it wears thin and as the board replenishes itself with fresh blood, the same issues arise.

Posters know where the PM button facility is, that way, nobody has to have any ongoing issues.

If I see a thread I have no interest in then I don't bother with it, simple as that. I don't go on and mock & revile the posters who are interested in it and hate it, both as a mod and an ordinary poster, when people do.

People no doubt post crap on here but also many post in good faith. I know, for an incontrovertible fact, that we have seriously been trying to get RVP for some time and thought we had an agreement-in-principle with him (as happened with Mouriho as well incidentally).

Some of you think it's all so simple but the world of football transfers is a murky one and transfer rumours don't come to fruition for all sorts of reasons. Agents play games and get deals out of potential buyers then tout their clients around the market to get a better offer. Players may say yes to a move in principle but baulk when it comes times to actually do it. Or we agree the outline of a deal with either the selling club or the agent then can't agree the other side.

Agents aren't necessarily the most honest and ethical people around either so you can bet your bottom dollar that if Sinclair's agent is talking to us, he's talking to others as well. Agents set up deals for players they don't even represent. Read Tom Bower's book "Broken Dreams" to see how some of these leeches operate. Some will plant stories that their client is talking to x as will rival managers to unsettle the player or club.

So it may be that we are seriously talking to Scott Sinclair but that in no way means we will end up signing him.

Here is the entire issue laid bare. A rather self-satisfied, arrogant posting that you have me weighed, measured and wanting.

You have rocked up and decided in less than 100 posts to make assumptions way above your pay grade.

For you to be a threat, I would need to consider you an equal on the subject matter in hand.

The PM offer is a genuine one, one where I can regulate it, further. As for flouncing off, try reading my post, simply stating I would enjoy the rest of what Blue Moon has to offer.

That's spot on PB, and I'm sure that's how it all works in reality.

But I get the feeling that what grinds of the gears of some on here is the "done deal" posts, when they are clearly not "done deals".

Like you say, things change, and can change quickly. Then maybe the posters need to use a bit of common sense and suggest a deal rather than setting themselves up for a fall by predicting it's done when it's not.

This summer's transfer forum has been particularly guilty of that.

Why raise expectations and the fever levels on here? Everyone knows what it's like!

You don't need to know TH life but you need to understand that there is a reason why there are many, many seasoned members of BM that respect and appreciate him as a poster. We know he has given this board more information and insight than people like you or I could ever give. If you can't accept that then just disappear out of these types of threads.
