So what price a fully fit MJ?

I suppose Micah is an alcy too, he's been constantly in clubs in town on the piss?

I thought Micah knocked all that on the head when Viera came and now spends most of his spare time around at his house watching matches together.

I can't provide the source but I seem to remember Viera questioning Micah's desire to win trophies and become a regular international footballer. He said something like the reason why I've achieved so much is cos I didn't fuck about in night clubs.. Words to that effect i believe.

As for MJ i've seen him in 42's a number of times out on the piss with his mates weighing in a roughly 16-18 stone. Hardly the weight you should be for an athlete, injured or not.

Time to move on, Alcy who was starstruck and didnt have respect for the talent he had, wasted talent but time to move on, free with future sell on clause, wasted money on wage bill, we must have paid him 40k for two years for nowt.

The fact he was an 'Alcy', as you put it, wasn't the reason that he snapped his ACL or had a mystery stomach injury, which are the reasons he hasn't been able to live up to his potential.

The 'Alcy' tag is bollocks anyway, like any young lad, he liked a beer, and just becuase he drank where people saw him, ie working class bars. Bet loads of players were/are out on the pop, but are in posh bars where the 'every day bloke' can't go.

I think the problem with comparing him to other footballers that drink is that the other footballers still look like footballers... whereas Johnson looks more like a Sumo wrestler.

And seemingly that doesn't bother him.

I believe the quote was something on the lines of "How can you expect to be first choice RB for City and England if you are last on the training pitch and first off it every day"

Is the next season the last of MJ's contract?
Not one appearance in the first team last season.
If only he could make it back to full fitness, he would be worth a fortune for us.
He must have had the best medical support last year but still blighted with injuries.

Absolute tragedy if this boy doesnt play for us again. Most naturally gifted player we've had since Paul Lake in my opinion.
Im sure City will do all they can to try and get him back in a City shirt.........fingers crossed.

I don't blame him for wanting to have a drink, as not being able to play the game you love, and going through some bad injuries at such a young age would massively affect you.

Maybe he shouldn't have let himself get so big, but this wasn't when he was playing, so his weight issue is unrelated to why his career has hit the skids and also unrelated to his major injury problems.

Of late, no one has posted 'stories' of the lad being in clubs, and he has also lost some of his extra weight. Hopefully the advice Viera gave Richards (Mentioned in this thread) was not aimed directly at Richards, but the younger players altogether.

Speak to MJs dad fairly regularly.
If fit at the start of the season he will be going on loan to Leicester,Leeds or Espanol.
Leicester is preffered by Mike due to rapport with Sven.

This would be the best for him.

What would the out come be of a decent loan period then, try and get back into the first team or an advert to sell?

Hope he stays and gets a chance.

Let's hope Sven can get his head sorted.

Because no other manager has...

I can't beleive the negativity people on here have towards him, it's like you want him to fail. Yeah he liked a drink, but it wasn't like he was going on the lash the night before the game like Tony Adams and Merson etc. So what has it got to do with us if he does have a few beers? It's not directly effecting us on the pitch, he's not getting pissed and trying it on with the other players' girlfriends. So the fact he drinks a bit it irrelavent.

He's had two bad injuries, only played 10 minutes in the 09-10 season against Scunthorpe, yet Booby still included him in the 25 man squad. That says to me that Bobby still has faith in him, and all the coaching staff to do. So why doesn't anybody else?
