So who do you think will finish 4th?

Hope its us but spurs are favourites I think. I can see us beating them and Villa and losing at West Ham - thats just us!

I am living in hope that "The Establishment" would actually prefer City to make it into Chumps at the expense of Spuds as we are more likely to spend big cash to help the flow of money through European clubs.

"They" wanted Dippers to make it to 4th but as that is pretty much gone now then I trust we just might get a helpful referee when we play Spuds at our gaff.

It's a long shot, I know, but one I am clinging onto by my fingernails.....

p.s. no need for the "clutching at straws" photos!

i honestly think we'll rip spurs a new arsehole........ a draw, contrary to belief against villa would be a disappointment but not a disaster, were currently six goals to the good against spuds in terms of goals scored, which comes into effect should it go to GD. Now for spurs to make that up should we beat them/hammers, at worst would make a 8 goal deficit to catch..........show my arse if they achieve that against the B&B.

We'll do it on goal difference

With respect to the many positive ['we should go for it'] views on here, I wouldn't be surprised if RM has the following strategy in mind.

1. Stay tight and deep against Villa as they do need to win and like to break quickly. Sneak a goal at a set piece if possible. Hope Bolton at least do not get battered and possibly scrape a draw [but unlikely]. RM will take 0-0 again.
I sincerely hope RM has more bottle than to take 0-0 against Villa at home after trying to sneak a goal from a set piece. I accept that style doesn't matter now but we can do better than that.

At the start of the season I would of snached your hand of for it to be in our hands with 3 games to go.
I didnt think Villa would be up there just us Spurs and Liverpool, the "Old City" in me thinks Villa will do us on Saturday and get 4th via us beating Spuds just because thats the way it's always been. However everyone hates us now and I'v hated Utd for ages and they always win so on that screwed up logic City will secure 4th against spurs as Bolton will beat them and we will beat Villa.

VOTE FOR "NEW MANCHESTER CITY"!

The point is that Villa have to come for a win whereas Spurs could have the idea of a draw in their minds. Neither team suit such methods of play.

Glad to see ZZ is with me! A draw against Villa is not fatal and knocks them out of contention. Save some energy and batter Spurs, and we'll nearly there. I also think it may be a matter of goal difference on the final day. But don't imagine that either Bolton or Burnley will be doing them any favours. Burnley want a good send off for the fans and Bolton were unlucky at Chelsea not so long ago, despite what some of their 'fans' seem to think. Spurs are the favourites which seems good to me. It's all in the mind now and Spurs have the most pressure, in my view. Two games in four days won't go down well with the likes of King, will it?
