I felt sorry for the two City lads kicked out mid way through the first half for absolutely nothing, but on reflection they were fortunate not to have to stand for 90 minutes through that shite.
Pep put out a team he felt could win. I dont buy the lets try and get knocked out sh1tThe performance last night was so poor that I am lost for words to describe it. I am amazed though that we put decent teams out and a great deal of effort into beating Chelsea and Liverpool in the earlier rounds. Why would we do this if we were not really bothered about winning this competition?
Don’t agree. A winning run prior to the World Cup would have us sitting top but our awful form has resulted in far too many dropped points. Arsenal are motivated by our form and it has helped them believe they can win. We've hardly opened a door for Arsenal they are on target for around a 100 points and would be with or without us. We have had no impact on their point total. If we get 90 points plus and we may well and Arsenal still win it, I don't think they would, then good luck to them.It will be because they have deserved it not because we have opened any doors.
Laporte?Ortega shite
Laporte shite again
I'll go with both. A shit performance by an absolute shit line up. But Pep can't really believe a proper line up would not have dispatched of Southampton. That part is pure bullocks. That line up would be fighting relegation in the Prem.actually no he is correct. yesterday the reason was not tactics or personnel. it was simply the team did not want to compete and have the hunger to succeed. no one wanted to battle with the intensity of the saints. we probably never won a single duel either in the ground or in the air.
We didn't have awful form prior to the world cup we had one bad result agaist Brentford, no different to any other season really.Don’t agree. I wasn’t saying they were trying to get knocked out, so maybe Pep misjudged the opposition. However, when you compare the teams from the earlier rounds, they were certainly much stronger.Pep put out a team he felt could win. I dont buy the lets try and get knocked out sh1t
I thought we were looking the business up until Copenhagen away. It was that game and what followed up until the Brentford game that caused me concern. We were dropping points and just generally not playing quite as well. Since the resumption, we've really had a mixed bag of results and performances. We didn't have awful form prior to the world cup we had one bad result agaist Brentford, no different to any other season really.
No bookings either. That tells me a lot.No shots on target in a cup QF against a team currently bottom of the PL shows the complete lack of desire the team had to win the game last night
Therein lies the problem. You're not beating a Prem team, any Prem team, especially on their ground, with that team. Pep obviously prioritized the Derby. I don't think he would ever try to get knocked out, but he wasn't all that bothered either.Pep put out a team he felt could win. I dont buy the lets try and get knocked out sh1t
i disagree in some context. For example if we played the previous game a day earlier and played southampton on the tuesday or united on the sunday would that team have started i dont think it would have i think part of it was probably due to the short turn around being on at 12.30 saturday with the rags having played the day prior against charlton.Pep put out a team he felt could win.
