Thought it was an extremely even game. Our passing was seriously shoddy today and a better side could have punished us for it.

I have watched us in some pretty rough bars but the lucky horse shoe in Barbados is right fucking up there. Anyway who would have known that sometimes Substitutions change matches.

An excellent performance against a very good Southampton side, who have given us plenty of problems over the last couple of seasons.
The tie could easily have gone away from us, but we held our nerve, scored the goals necessary to win and saw the game out comfortably.
The three non-penalty strikes were all excellent. The first was a very good team goal, and the third and fourth were excellent individual efforts, especially Phil’s, which was absolutely magnificent: the goal of the round.
Defensively, apart from Steffen's fuck-up for their goal, we were also very good, especially John and Kyle, though I didn’t think Rodri had a particularly good game.
It's back to Etihad South, with hopefully, a semifinal against Forest.
