I actually like Martin, he is more than fair in his assessment of our games when commenting, apart from Arsenal of course! :)

Played well over all.
A couple of better decisions up front and we would have pissed it

Soton had a strong pressing game and put us under pressure, but we made some of our own problems, esp on our left side/their right.

Cancelo is an enigma. His forward play can be scintillating, but then he tries trickery and dribbling, and his usual pullback in tight, vulnerable positions and puts us under pressure.

Look defensively shaky in the first half, but stronger in the second.

Not sure why Steffen came, but didn’t take the ball?

All of that said, it was a professional performance highlighted by industry in the first half and a couple of scintillating finishes in the 2nd half.

Business end of the season is truly here, so that was a good way to go into the international break!

Thank god our matchday support bears zero resemblance to the posters in the BM matchday thread.

Today was absurd. The vitriol against our own team is disgusting. Every fucking match. They seem to hate City and then piss off when we start winning making their former comments look even more ridiculous.

Im no happy clapper but to have that level of negativity against City and I’m not having none of them are blues….they obviously are.

I know it’s said every match but what drives City fans to hate the team that much? Do we need “support” like that on here?

As you can tell I’m totally pissed off with it. Not sure what the answer is but it’s not sorting anything to say just don’t go in there.

Total contrast to the actual away support which,as usual,was a credit to City.

Same on twitter, and when one of the players posts something, some of the replies are pathetic.
