This is my point at half time it was a salvageable situation if he wasn't going to bring him on then why have him on the bench.
In my mind Pellegrini had already conceded the match before we started. Firstly, his position on wanting the match moved back to Saturday. It was never going to happen, so he decided to rest the majority of Wednesdays team because he is stubborn. Secondly, the team selection "on paper" looked strong enough to cope with playing with a game against Southampton - except they decided take the afternoon off and not to put a shift in. Bringing Aguero on was never going to happen because (a) Pellegrini did not want to risk Sergio playing, (b) The rest of the team were so shit it would not have made a difference and (c) IMHO - Pellegrini did nothing to suggest that the team were fired up enough to WANT to win this match.
So many posters on here of the opinion that most of today's team are not going going to be around next season. Maybe the players know that too.
