"Goalkeepers Artur Boruc and Kelvin Davis remain out with injury, with Paulo Gazzaniga expected to line up between the posts again after making his first start in over a year on Wednesday.

Morgan Schneiderlin misses out again as do Guly do Prado and Danny Fox, whilst Nathaniel Clyne and Victor Wanyama also came off injured in the Villa game and are unlikely to play. Jose Fonte is also considered a doubt."

Schneiderlin is a big miss, he always looks a very decent player when I see him play.

You almost had me thinking "this bloke's blown his cover finally, damn rag!"...until the score :-). I trust we will focus on any player that has the remotest connection to us and / or the lad that hasn't scored for the last three years.
 
Southampton fan at work reeled off 8 injuries they have he reckons they will get spanked. Let's hope he's right.

Villa killed them on the counter so we should do the same

I tend to agree with this but we need to keep it tight for first 10 - 15 if possible, the exploit the space
 
This one all depends if we are up for it and also if they are, it's going to be basically whoever can be bothered to win will win. We have struggled away but I'm confident with Komps back we'll start looking a lot stronger. I thought we played alright at West Brom but for large periods of the game we turned off and a team like Southampton can hurt us when we aren't switched on. Their manager is no idiot and he seems to have a trick up his sleeve in every big game so we need to do what we do best, keep the ball, contain anything they throw at us and get the goals.

I'm going to go for beast and Aguero up front, thought Dzeko did well for half an hour against West Brom but he just doesn't seem to have the effort in his game and he went downhill as soon as we got the 2nd, think Beast and Aguero is still by miles our better combination. Same midfield and defence for me as this week, Navas in with Nasri who has been outstanding recently for us, god knows how Silva will get back in and Yaya as usual is a god.
 
Oh Christ, we're doomed; Lawro's picked us to win 2-0. I'd go for 3-1. Their strikers aren't bad, but they've taken a kicking in midfield with injuries. Schneiderlin and Wanyama are a big loss.
 
Their manager has worked wonders since arriving and their fans should be pleased that he actually has them playing with some flair.

If they had a full strength side it would have been more of a tricky game for us, but I think we stick with the same squad as we are currently now finding our top form going into the festive period

2-0 for me and keeping a clean sheet will give the defence a massive boost. Need to carry as much momentum going into the home game against arsenal as possible

Robben, Lahm and Schweinsteiger are out injured, you could argue they are three of Bayerns top 5 players so it wouldn't surprise me seeing Manuel going all out against Bayern in the week.

Lahm will be back Tuesday and probably play right winger. Müller instead of Robben on the right, especially with Lahm behind him - Mandzukic or Götze as real or false nine. And instead of Lahm, Schweinsteiger and Kroos in the midfield it is Martinez, Thiago and Kroos.

Full strength squad for this and arsenal. if legs need to be rested we can have it in CL game.

If we get our form sorted home and away and continue to bang in goals for fun, it would mentally work for us and against future oppositions. Their tactics would be skewed to try and contain first, counter second.

Totally agree.

When they are at full strength they are a very good team. Don't have the depth to deal with key injuries. Was worried about this game a few weeks ago but with them losing 3 straight and having so many key injuries nothing less than a win will do.

City 3-1
