It’s wider than that but it’s incredibly early in the investigation-I doubt he’s remotely close to being interviewed-it’ll prob be tomorrow. Facts/evidence may emerge that means he is then rearrested under TACT (which then gives them 2 weeks to deal).

It's cowardice, I'd rather they said nothing at all until they know what the motive was.... Somebody needs to call it out when it is based on political motives or religious ideology but do they?

My point is there's no way terrorism can be ruled out within hours without digital forensics. So I don't believe the police should say it publicly.

As I said, it seems easier for them to just decide its not terror related and work backwards from there, rather than be honest and say they're investigating the possibility.

The CC also said officers are working with counter terrorism officers-which is standard.
