Special one not coming then

In fairness I would be worried about the running of the club if they did not have certain assurances before disposing of the current managers services. Unless he was a disaster.

Mancini obviously is not.

Sparky, last season - 8 draws in a row. Lost only 2 games against Man Utd and Spurs before the sack. Adopted aggressive football, but defenders failed him.

Mancini, this season - about the same period as Sparky's reign last season, got less points and lost more games than Sparky. Adopted negative tactics, the team played lamely against strong teams.

Mancini is better than Sparky? Don't think so.

Sparky has a cupboard full of Trophies?

Hire his protoge, Villas Boas. The guy still hasn't lost in the Portuguese Liga, plays attractive football, and looks good in the Europa League. He's 33 and undefeated.

Where are we going to find someone else like that? Jose doesn't want to come. Hiddink is Roman's man.

Obviously, no.

But Mancini's trophies only resides in Italy. LOL.

But stats and records don't lie. Mancini is not better than Sparky. In England of course.

Sparky has to start somewhere. But "certain executives" didn't give him enough time. Some players like Bellamy and Tevez really like Sparky. Tevez said Sparky should have been given more time. Tevez has decided to quit after Sparky got the sack (and Bellamy got the boot). Thus the transfer request. Thus the broken promise (Sacking of Sparky I guess).

Thus the whole story.

That's absolute slander with no proof.

I'd be careful where you tread, concerning that.

Oh, I'm so scared about slander. Sue me then. LOL.

Of course I have no proof. But some players didn't like this. Sparky was deeply upset about this. And IMMEDIATE announcement of Mancini appointment just right after sacking of Sparky told you something. Ethical huh?

'Sp**ky'?? Shows where your obvious loyalties lie.

I suggest that 'Sp**ky' was sacked BEFORE any such formal meeting, but just acted like he 'never knew'. The events certainly play out like that. However, any such hiring of Mancini would been done formally, moments after the official sacking, most likely. Whether meetings were held during Mr Hughes' tenure is neither here nor there and was not illegal or 'unethical'.

So, your Beloved had already gone, leaving events to be done 'ethically'.

This guy Villas Boas is "special". Risky to hire, as too young, but good.

Can't understand why people seem to think there is a problem, 4th in the league, F.A. cup semi, ffs what more do you want? Or shall we just roll back to the 3rd division.

this excuse means absolutely nothing come the end of the season if we don't win the fa cup and finish 5th does it!
And just a few weeks ago the mantra was "FFS we're 3rd in the league and still in with a chance of the treble of CL qualification, the FA Cup & Europa League."

And at the end of the season it will be "We're clearly progressing but there are just 4 better teams than us"

Yeah, your beloved Mancini may get the sack anytime as well. LOL.

It is quite CLEAR Mancini ACCEPTED to be the new manager before the official announcement of sacking of Sparky, even though his appointment was not official yet.

That is unethical.

Hogwash. It's not unethical at all. And before you start whining at me, I'm a Mourinho fan... and if we're able to hire him we best do it before firing Mancini.

could are next manager be Carlo Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti is better than Mancini, because:

Ancelotti - won 2 titles with Chelsea. Never adopted negative tactics (the ridiculous "play for a draw" tactics). Played aggressive football with solid defense. Roman failed him by sacking Ray Wilkins and meddling in management.

Mancini - gained less points and lost more games than Sparky. Made stupid tactical mistakes against Liverpool. Adopted negative tactics all the time.

Yeah, welcome to Ancelotti. Say goodbye to Mancini.

-- Thu Apr 14, 2011 6:13 pm --

No. Man City won't get Mourinho before firing of Mancini, because Mourinho has "ethic" he won't accept it beforehand. LOL.

But, it is hard to get Mourinho though. Just look at all the disgruntled players the team have. It could scare him. LOL.

So, after reading 16 pages on how Mourinho rubbishes a move to us and certain people saying that 'It's All a Smoke Screen', can someone, no, anyone confirm for sure that we are currently in talks with him and that Mancini is definately getting the sack?

Thanks in advance.

Are you for real ? Are you seriously suggesting that all other clubs sack the managers without lining up a replacement ?
Unethical ? Better than being incompetent which is what they would have been had they sacked the useless bag of shit before securing the services of another manager.
You must live in a gingerbread house and live on sugar lumps. You have absolutely no idea how things work.

Either that or you're just another fucking rag on the wum. Whichever one it is, you are an absolute fucking stool.

Yeah, the "ethical" man who used City to leverage a job at Real months before they had fired their manager at the time and while he was still midseason at Inter.

I think you're a rag.

Alright Sparky. Congratulations on taking us to sixth.

Could you explain to me how that makes your record better than someone who has taken us fourth? Given that you spent more money and had more time at the club.

And how are no trophies better than Italian trophies?

LOL.

I wanted to keep Hughes as well! But he's gone! so I'm 100% behind Mancini!
