Isn't this just a rerun of what happened at the formation of the CL? Clubs flexing their muscles to be given a bigger share of the pot especially if you are a 'big name not doing so well.

The champions league does my head in with its glitzy marketing and clear agenda with regard ensuring that the latter stages meet the demands of a global television audience.
However some of the football you see is amazing so in theory I have no issue with a European super league.
It has to be fair though and open to all. Being part of a clique that has a 20 year membership makes me want to vomit and it’s clear that the likes of manure, Liverpool, the Milan clubs and other has beens are the ones are behind this.
Just sounds like another wall/barrier/gated community that the rich seem to love and what us regular folk actually want us irrelevant.
A fair European league could be good but it has to involve everybody. Or at least offer hope to everybody.

Unfortunately this is going to be the future for club football at some point . I understand that for some fans this would be a step to far, but it's where we will have to be as a club . For the last 10 years we have been trying to be accepted in the euro "club" and to be named in the 11 clubs that can't be relegated for 20 years shows that we have arrived . If we had all looked at that list and we were missing from it, let's face it we would be pissed off if we were honest with ourselves.
We have to face the fact that at some stage we are going to have to accept that as much as we like being the noisy militant union rep thumbing his nose at the company at some point he will step over to the company side, and accept the job that he has always wanted . If we want to be a leading player in world club football we have to be where the game is, and if that's euro or worldwide club football then as much as we may not like it that's where we have to be.

16 clubs with 11 of them untouchable relegation wise would be wank and turn some fans off, whether it is the natural progeeasion in the eyes of some or not.
If we were playing those clubs mentioned every week in a super league at the expence of what we have now, then I would stop going, financialy and work wise most aways would be over for me and the prices I envisage tickets would become for even home games would be it for me.
If this crock of shite happens I will fuck football off . We the fans have to say no,we get told we have no fucking history most of our great history involves getting relegated and getting back up and for the life of me i wouldn't change any of it so as they say on dragons den im out

It's the 'closed nature of it that gets me. 11 teams that can't be relegated for 20 years. Imagine if they had tried to bring that in at the start of the PL.
