truly the game is bent to the high hills and the so called members of the golden hand shake club are scared when there FFP rule did not work and now looking for something else, sometimes i wish we could be better off just letting them get on with it and let them fuck off and do what they like??? but its not there game its all the clubs involved from top to bottom every club means something and without them its nothing, even when little old man city was chasing the dream and yoyo the leagues it had its fairy tale story even leicester city. blackburn. chelsea, can dream and sometimes they come true that is what football should be about DREAMS

THEY ARE TRULY NOT IN IT FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME the feeble minded fans of united and the rest of the so big clubs are just sheep to the clubs meaningless unless you buy a shirt and ticket or subscription to a box or cable tv sat at home with all the shirts on sing all the songs, all they want is your money are there fan base really that blind or just plain daft YES, so you can stick your ball up your ass and we will boo even louder next week

You're assuming that a few years down the line there will still be hundreds of millions of pounds of premier league money. If a European super league became the biggest show in town in terms of global TV revenue (and it probably would if it had all the clubs with the global fan bases) then presumably it wouldn't take long for the vast majority of money to be in the new league?

Bet Levy is shitting it with not being invited and a stadium to pay for they’d go bust.

Love your sentiment @ancoats but money talks so sadly this type of thing will probably come into being before long. I will not be supporting it though.

Can’t see this format bring viable myself. Those clubs would all be taking a huge risk imo.

I agree. All it really creates is an opportunity for some huge clubs to completely trash their reputations, decimate their fan bases and kill their commercial revenues.

They'd be moving from a model where they all get to enjoy an element of success each season (winning league titles, finishing top 4) to a model where only one of them can succeed.

It doesn't matter that the standard of the league would be much higher. If you're regularly finishing in the bottom half of it, you're going to be perceived as "shit" and the commercial revenue these top clubs currently take for granted would soon dry up.

There's far more reflected glory in being the 2nd best team in England/Spain/Germany etc than being the 5th-16th best in Europe. That's the risk they'd all be taking.

Everyone would say they'd hate it, they wouldn't go rather watch my local league 2 side etc. and then the attendances wouldn't change.

I don't want it, but I've seen enough things in football fucked about by UEFA/FIFA over the years to know that despite protestations people will always stay with their clubs and top level football will always have an audience.
