Spurs (A) | EFL Cup | Post Match Thread

Competition better suited to smaller clubs anyway. Savio injury a real concern, so let’s hope he will be OK.

Overall, I got more enjoyment out of that second half than I did watching the Southampton game. Injuries are a concern though.
As impressed as I was with the kids on I felt disappointed with Foden, Bernardo and McAtee. With Lewis I still see only a very neat and tidy passer who is regularly found out as a defender. Not sure if he's good enough.
With Ake and Stones, I feel they're both one sprint or stretch to block a cross away from a muscle pull and 6 weeks out.

There’s a guy on Twitter who seems to have some connections. And he’s said that Walker isn’t injured and is instead ‘going through it’ at the moment with us trying to offload.

I’d rather see Lewis central and Akanji out at full back to be honest. Where possible.

Then I’d be looking at full backs in the window.

The only connections people on Twitter have is their mental health practitioners.

No good throwing in the likes of McAtee and writing him off after one start. Nunes is showing the best form since he signed because he’s playing every game. Hopefully McAtee gets more minutes over the next few weeks. Desperate for him to prove his worth as I don’t want to see another Palmer situation when he proves himself at another club.
It's not over one start in fairness, I don't think he's shown anything in any minutes he's gotten and this was just another confirmation of that. Just my opinion mind

Nunes best player. Wright and Simpson had really good cameos, I thought. Wright showed more personality than either McAtee or O'Reilly, in my opinion. Haaland rested.. Hopefully Josko is okay (wtf was that throw in??). Savio looked in a lot of pain, hopefully minor.

Winnable game but not too bothered.

Injuries are a big issue.

Some talent on that pitch and the academy did the club proud. I really rate Jacob Wright, whose constant availability for the ball is reminiscent of Rodri. O'Reilly grew into the game nicely, and Simpson-Pusey is the kind of front-foot defender who looks to progress the ball from defence quickly. Our injuries are serious but opportunity beckons for some serious talent.
Agree. It's the best I've seen Jacob Wright in any game where he's stepped up. Both Wright and O'Reilly could have scored with a bit of luck.
