Spurs (A) | EFL Cup | Post Match Thread

Rather win it but if we don’t l, would miles rather go out in the first two rounds. Those two semis, when you’re obliged to play a strongish side, are absolute killers at the business end.

Decent enough effort tonight anyway. Always great to some kids getting a bit of a go.

We`ve got far more important games in December to be worrying about this competition. Club World Cup anyone ??

Unlucky not to get the draw with that O'Reilly chance but is what it is academy kids look top stepping up Simpson-pusey look great in his camo shame about injuries least we haven't got to play more games now in the league cup

After a quite dreadful first 30 mins we playedvreally well.
Out academy players were great.
Our fans at the game appreciated their efforts
WHL must be the worst away day in the league.
Transport to and from the ground crap.
Getting in crap.Concourse crap.
Never been so glad to get to my seat as i am there.
Getting too old for WHL now.
Always say that's my last visit there.Always go back though.

Sadly, same issues as most of our games this season.
Too easy to score against, too easy to counter us. Any team with pace is killing us.
And at the other end, same failings in the final third. Zero creativity in the team and even less goal threat without Haaland. 3 shots on target from 15 is piss poor.
Just no decent finishers throughout the club bar Haaland and it shows, play good football, plenty of the ball but toothless.
Because we've lost so many games this season!

No one gives a shit about the result tonight, apart from you.

“Fans” not bothered we lost.
How times have changed.
Come on Johnny,

Fans aren't stupid, on the whole.

The League Cup for us currently is a hindrance. Blame the footballing authorities for that.

Do you really want a 2 legged Semi in December and January, the 2 busiest months for fixtures, I fucking don't and neither does anyone else.

Was the mission to lose then?
Sorry man, i don't know where we're at with this conversation. Some people might have wanted us to lose because they think the extra 3 games potentially could derail more glittering prizes, but i reckon deep down maybe most of us think - ah well, spurs away, with 4 teenagers playing, it's not the end of the world as they put up a decent showing - sure we wish we'd won, but you can't win them all. I'm not pissed off, just mildly annoyed - lost the battle, win the war maybe?

I love winning trophies.

I’ll get him to give you a call later….

Ffs this place at times !

Rico shit, Pep shit, kids not good enough. Gundogan shite even though he’s being forced to play due to other injuries.

Fucking madness on here lately.
Wankers are out in force tonight.

Couldn't give 2 shits about the result and not even arsed about a couple of injury scares. It's football and part of the game.

So you would rather get into the next round of the League Cup to the detriment of a Title challenge or CL progress?

We do not have a fully fit squad to compete on 4 fronts.

Winning the League Cup, as nice as it is means absolutely fuck all to a top club these days.

Tentpeg has just won the FA Cup, beating his city rivals who are considered to be the best team around and he's been shown the door!
