Spurs (A) | EFL Cup | Post Match Thread

Thought we played very well overall all things considered. Culpable to a counter (when are we not) but moved the ball well, lacking a CF. Good job we have one.

With all the injuries and games, it'll be a blessing.

Up the Blues

There’s a guy on Twitter who seems to have some connections. And he’s said that Walker isn’t injured and is instead ‘going through it’ at the moment with us trying to offload.

I’d rather see Lewis central and Akanji out at full back to be honest. Where possible.

Then I’d be looking at full backs in the window.
Walker was injured playing for England last month.

What a bad night, gutted about the result & injuries

Pep got it wrong, he wasted Foden as CF

It seems no one have told. him that Nico used to play as a forward for the academy

Good performance from Nunes, Mcatee and the young defender who came in.

Nico needs to be loaned, he has the ingredients to be City player but needs confidence.

Rico shouldn't start against fast wingers

Maybe just me but I thought Spurs were not that good. We gave them too much space on the counters but when we had our reserve team on we still outplayed them without having a true finisher on the pitch.

Our lack of pace in the middle of midfield is a bit of a worry but hopefully a few get fit sooner than anticipated. We need more from Bernie, Gundo and Phil who have been not that good this year so far - they will come good.

Good performance given the circumstances. Nunes and Savinho both excellent, hope the latter is OK but I think he's just a bit of a mardarse and will be fine. Hopefully Gvardiol is fine aswell and it was just a twinge. Getting down to the bare bones but the lads coming in are stepping up.
