Spurs (A) | PL | Post-Match Thread

Also there seems to be a bit of a Pep Cult, if he's the reason we're fucking up, he needs to be fucked off. Foden, KDB, Cancelo, alienated Sterling, Jesus, of yeah, Ruben fucking Dias, i mean, at what point do we start stoping the bleed really?
IF being the operative word

Where do you get all this “info” from?

I don't think anybody actually wants him out, but they want him to be less obstinate when things are going badly and less tinkering when they are going well.
The board might want him out if we fail in Europe again, but I think most match-going fans would prefer to win the Premier League.

correct

we just want a happy manager and squad playing good football ? even if we lost playing good, you take that and say well done you give 100%, Spur are just an OK team just like united, Liverpool are dog shit this season and still beat us, but Brentford and Everton at home and Southampton away SHOCKING,

I want smiling players faces, happy fans, pep funny quotes,

To be honest, neither you nor anyone else (outside the staff) has the slightest shred of evidence that there are any dressing room issues. You're getting a bit carried away with hearsay. If you know something that's factual - share it. Otherwise you're just speculating.

Speculating, yes. But there's no smoke without fire. Something's not quite right at City this season, and I suspect it's down to Pep.

rodri cost us today and both goals against them at home..
It's why I said at the start of the season that our success will be determined by our new recruits, Philips & Gomez in particular. They've contributed zero in positions where we need two world class operators.

Rodri needs a rest & to be challenged. We need TWO fucking left backs who're actually left backs. Now Cancelo's gone, we're left with 32 year old Kyle Walker as our ONLY senior full back! WTF! :-/

We've technical players on the wing, but aside from Foden (who's deceptively quick), we have no frightening pace.

Gundog has never had pace & Bernardo's pace is nothing to write home about. Bernardo's here in body only & KDB is 32 going on 42. That extra boost of energy & pace he was blessed with seems to be evaporating quicker than a puddle of piss during a heatwave.

The positives? I think everyone now realises we have a problem, & the first step toward solving an issue is realising you've got one in the first instance.

We're still second (just) & need to evolve now. The last thing we want to do is limp along like this for another season or two & end up like Liverpool this season! The time for action is now.

Here we go again, the same old bullshit. 4 titles in 5 years, 5 League Cups, FA Cup, CL Final and he needs to be fucked off? I could understand if we were talking about a few seasons ago but we're still Champions and we're still in position to retain the title.

This was always a banana-skin match, had Arse lost and we'd beaten somebody like Forest today nobody would have bat an eyelid. Bad spell during what was always going to be a tricky season. Get a fucking grip, man.

I'd like to think not Ray, but you never know what's going through his head, working with a control freak like Pep.
To be absolutely honest, I think Haaland would have expected Pep to build his team/tactics around him when he arrived. Pep seems to be going out of his way to make sure that the world's best striker 'knows his place' and expects him to fit into his system.
As someone said earlier, it's like having a Ferrari and using it as a tractor.

or a Lamborghini.

What about the fans who spend their hard earned cash & follow the team away & see a performance like that ,stop making excuses pg .

You'd have thought Neville would have spotted it if something was wrong.

It's pathetic, you're all just going along with the media hype you all claim to hate so much.

Pep will never be sacked from City, never. But he will walk when the players don’t respond to him any more, and they aren’t right now. If this continues for the rest of the season, it’s not inconceivable that Pep resigns. There’s clearly a lot of shit going on right now in the squad. Dias frozen out, Foden frozen out, KDB dropping off a cliff and no longer an automatic starter. The Cancelo issue. Laporte not being picked, Phillips clearly not impressing Pep one bit with his approach. Gomez being useless and no longer trusted to play. Bernardo wanting to leave for over 2 years and playing like it. There’s just a lot going on and I can’t rule out a resignation in the summer right now. Depends how the rest of the season goes in terms of a response from the players, whether they convince Pep they want to play for him and how comfortably we make top 4, if we make top 4.
unfortunately this may spiral, f he argues constantly with his players he will burn out. Best we have ever had = undoubtedly - stay professional and help us until season ends Pep then have a good rest. New broom needed when m'nger is fed up

For the love of God pick a back 4 and stick with it for a few games. If we want to go on a 10 game winning run we need a consistent back line if we can field one
Haaland doesn't work in 4-3-3, actually in any front three, defensively in particular. So, back four goes through the window. MOTD2, oh nooooooooooooo......

Spurs at home a few weeks ago looked like a game where the players took matters into their own hands and played with freedom and went for the kill and look what happened. Pep’s obsession with control/worrying about opponents is just killing the team this season.

I still think it was just like you said ? pep just sent them out in the 2nd half and the players took the matter into their own hands, Now it could, he wants a 100% fresh squad for the Champions League but then why sell Cancelo,

if we are putting all our Eggs into the Champions League basket then OK you have to go out and win it, because if you don't, it's a no 2nd chance and the eggs end up all over your faces,
