Spurs (A) | Post-Match Thread

Wouldn't have scored if we'd been playing until midnight, absolutely dreadful performance. I was worried about the defence before the game, should've focused more on our inept midfield and impotent strikeforce. Kane would've made fuck all difference today as he'd have been feeding on nothing. Lots to work on for next Saturday and a must win game already
I agree, we never looked like scoring. Cancelo couldn't hit a barn door from two yards. There's only KDB who puts in any effort. He always gives 100% but always seems to be injured or resting. Even if we get Kane, that arrogant so and so in charge will have him sat on the bench every other game.

Because the scum didn’t get to the Chumps league final. He was giving our players an extra bit of time off, chill.

We will win the title.
Hope you're right but our first few games are horrendous and we've stopped winning the big games.

With Kane in the team today we win that game at a canter. Simple as that.. and our season probably now depends on getting his transfer over the line

For me the game was more or less lost before the start of the season
Pep gave Sterling, walker and stones and Jesus I think an extended holiday and low and behold again we get off to a sluggish start to the new season.
Sterling was hopeless today again and Stones and Walker didn't feature.
Stones and Walker play we don't lose this match today.
Rags yesterday had shaw, maguire, pogba etc all starting and they had a decent pre season And most other teams had the internationals back.
Why the fuck can't all our players be firing and ready to go?

Peps not helped us with his over cautious and arrogant approach to the new season In my opinion. We got away with it last year due to lack of crowds, we won't be so lucky this season.
I've every sympathy for fans who have been to London twice in a week and seen us have 1 fucking shot on goal.
You think Pep is arrogant? Why have you never mentioned this before?

Sterling stones and walker were in the latter stages as was Jesus and Ederson with Brazil. Foden and kdb, injured and just back from injury, Grealish only just joined. Laporte not trained due to Isolation, zinchenko only back on Monday. Not sure what more pep could do.
Maguire and fatty Shaw didn't need a long rest. Pep is far too soft giving ours longer breaks and putting us on the back foot, but hopefully he's playing the long game and it's the end of the season that matters

I'd rather play with 10 men than start with Mendy. To this day I still cannot grasp how he occupation is listed as PROFESSIONAL footballer!

Away from his issues, and with the new refereeing interpretations of any challenge that leaves all the limbs connected to the torso is not a foul, we are going to struggle like hell unless our players get tough. To a man we looked soft and lacking in desire. Today we have lost a game to a technically inferior team who simply worked harder and created their own luck.

It's a wake up call for sure and we best hear it.

I’d actually go down to the ground and celebrate if we managed to get Mendy out of the club before the window closes.

Does Pep not see what we see?
Things aren’t always that simple. 2 years left on his contract, 100k a week wages and with his performances the last couple seasons I doubt even championship clubs would be interested. Honestly, what clubs do you think could possibly sign him?
