Spurs (A) | Post-Match Thread

It was obvious from the start of the second half we had no control of the game, CM was gone, Mendy getting ripped a new one, why were no changes made at that point?
Pep having another brain fart.
No striker but Jesus on the bench.
I'm sorry but it was obvious they were gonna score eventually.
Two fucking loses now.

Something about the Spurs line up still doesn’t make sense to me. It appears they had two academy players in their starting line up, but I’ve read repeatedly on here that playing academy players is just too risky! Maybe it was just a big mistake from Nuno and he’ll rectify it next week by dropping them from the squad entirely (still too risky to have them on the bench as well iirc).

Jesus did not play as a striker often last season and Kun was injured for all of it, he clearly does not rate him as a No9

Ake?

Or play 3 at the back.

we played with 2 full backs that can't defend, not rocket science.

The game was over after 20mins for us because we did not score.

Ake played at CB because he clearly feels Laporte/Stones aren't ready yet either. Why are people not getting this? It's clearly only a fitness thing. The selection is being guided by fitness and nothing else. You'll save yourself an awful lot of pointless pontificating if you just accept this. It's blindingly obvious.

Mendy is an easy scapegoat no matter what you see on the pitch.
He had a decent game but it’s not his fault if he has to cover in the middle every time on counter attack and folks see that as his weakness rather then he is only following his order .
Same with cancelo .
Mendy did NOT have a decent game, he was dire.
