Mendy was NOT a bad signing. We've just been incredibly unlucky with his injuries, and he's not found his best form since.

He never will. He was brilliant the first few games pinging great fist time balls into the box. But that went after his injuries.

Fixtures come out. Tough opener away at Spurs, what do we do? Give most of the team an extended holiday and pick a team that put zero effort in.

The determined bounce back after the champions league defeat has been two just as bad performances.

Well the starting 11 wernt good enough were they and Jesus came on as did KDB, kind of puts pay to your argumant somewhat.

But they weren't fit enough to start. I trust pep and his team to know who is physically capable of playing.

Mendy still has 2 years left on his contract. We won’t sign a left back until he’s gone. We hope that will be next summer, but don’t bank on it.

and he gets £5 million a year , daylight robbery.

Can't say I'm surprised. We can't afford to give teams a 10 point start like last season so things need to change quickly.

There simply must be a better left back within the academy than Mendy. I was embarrased for him today. He has to be the worst pound for pound signing in our history and should be nowhere near the first team ever again.

We've definitely had worse signings.

His ball retention and work rate would have helped us I believe.

Maybe it would, isn’t where the game was lost though. No zinny, Walker, stones, kdb, Foden and no striker probably hurt us more. Went as expected for me but too easy to use Bernardo as a reason. Spurs didn’t have their best player…
