Alvarez not good enough? Jesus Christ
He is not, I completely agree, Alvarez is great for last 10 - 15 minutes ..But he is a better player re quick finishing in the box and of course has a great strike...as a footballer though he is isn't great, nor is Haaland either tbf so we struggle to retain the ball especially when both have their back to goal. I've always thought Stephen Ireland in his prime would have been a great 10 for Pep, loads of technical ability and he would have learnt and improved so much under a Pep....shame he wasn't born 20 years later..9would have had to change that car though!)

The game was a microcosm of all the lazy and sloppy habits that have crept into our game this season. Yes, we've got injuries, but we're not alone, and there was never a better time to play Tottenham

For whatever reason we're not controlling the tempo and we've lost our clinical edge.

We can still win the league, but we need to start stamping our authority on games and stop hiding behind this myth that everything will suddenly be okay when Stones and De Bruyne return

All very true, but the mini-window in which we had Stones this season was comfortably our best football of the season - the 6-1 against Bournemouth and 0-3 at United had all of the stamps of a solid City side. It's really telling that when Dias, Stones and Rodri all play, we look a massively better side.

Stone’s struggles to string 4 matches together without getting crocked . It will take Kev the rest of the season to reach 75% of where he was.

Thought KDB was Feb? We will still need players surely Phillips will leave and someone will come in. Not sure Kovacic and Nunes are good enough either.

We don't know when Kdb comes back if that rare operation on his hamstring will hold up! Am hoping he comes back and be at his best but not pinning my hopes on it and City shouldn't too..

The same thing can apply to every professional sportsperson.
You can't buy to cover every potential injury or suspension.

You are right but both are somewhat injury prone so a team shouldn't rely on them staying fit for a long period of time. Tis just common sense.

But thanks for telling me sports people can get injured. Everyday is a school day on here:-)
