Spurs (H) - Post-Match Thread

Anything could happen now

a few weeks ago we were 15 points clear and 80 to 1 on to win the league

it could go either way now

it’s stating to look like the match v the dippers could be a title decider.. just how the PL and sky wanted it
The table was distorted, and will only look as it should next week, though the scousers and Chelsea will miss next weekend for the carabao. a lot of arrogant bollocks in the media as well, assuming that we will both win every game till we play in April.

Don’t forget how we reeled Liverpool and Chelsea in. I don’t think Liverpool have had a blip, they got lucky with some performances.

Lloris is such a weird keeper too btw, he can go from a Spurs liability to pulling off saves you never expected him to get near.
To be fair it would of been poor of he had of been beaten by that Gundogan shot it wasn't in the corner. He's a bang average keeper which we should have tested more today.

we’ve lost one game in how long?? So defeatist. Wouldn’t want to be in the trenches with you
You don't need a positive outlook to run into gunfire once every few weeks until you die for five yards of mud. It might help with the rats that eat your toes, though - a cynic in that kind of situation would add a real drag to proceedings.

Gracias.

The Boys inBlue didn’t give in. They fought to the end. We didn’t exactly show’em but we didn’t give in. Thank you City. Thank you lads. I am going to say thank you fans because the ones round me really joined in today but I shouted for the South stand to sing quite a few times. They were very quiet today!

We needed Stones and Diaz today.

However, on the bright side, we are still Champions of England and still will be next season! :-)
Díaz was shit

The thing that pisses me off most is that despite endless slow possession (even on 96 minutes) when we eventually get round to putting the ball into the box its a hopeful punt at some midget.
Our strategy is that eventually we hope the ball will drop to one of our diminutive players who will score. Its just that a 'hopeful' plan that the opponent will screw up or the mere scale of half arsed crosses will pay off. That is OK against the likes of Norwich but not against better sides .Also if a side has strong athletic attackers then we get a Crystal Palace or Spurs like result.

We need a singular threat up front.

so true
its same old same old city we can only play one way no plan B or throwing somebody up as a target man ?
i think john stones could be used up front when games are like today. just hit the big man and play from there

Not sure how our defensive game plan didn’t include not letting Kane pick the ball up and being allowed to turn. If we play like that against the dippers then they’ll run riot.
