And the Queen in particular has been a steadying, moderating influence for good. Things would be worse had we not had our Queen. Sad you cannot see that through your resentment and bitterness.

Allow life to continue as normal & declare her funeral a public holiday so those who wish to mourn can do so. Why should everyone else be affected.

What about the cost of my weekend plans being in tatters? Am I or anyone else going to be reimbursed by the club, royals or the government?

Why don't we go the whole hog & close hospitals, schools, supermarkets & ban all travel whilst we're at it? Why my football? It's one of the few sources of happiness left in this fucked up Brexit, energy & cost of living crisis country at the moment. :-/

They sell automatically for the big games, it’s not like games against Forest which you can just take them off the exchange at any time if it doesn’t sell.

They don’t automatically ‘sell’ they are automatically bought by the club. If my ticket was then bought by Bill and my sons ticket by Ben, will they go to the rearranged game, or will they be refunded and will we be able to go to the rearranged one?

Those lads knew Eriksen. Some were his close friends. They trained and spoke with him every day, almost. They stood around him while he had defib units attached to him. They were then made to play on by UEFA, not knowing if he was alive or dead.

But out of a 'mark of respect' the entire English football calendar - from the Premier League right down to your local under-8s and under-9s teams - has been wiped out. Millions of peoples' weekends and lives put on hold, wages and work cancelled during a cost of living crisis.

Massively out of touch and not respectful at all.

There’s no link at all between the two decisions - I agree that the Eriksen game should have been abandoned, but that has no bearing on the PL’s decision.

Personally I think that postponing the games is the right call and the correct way to honour the Queen’s passing. She’s done countless things for us, and improved our country’s standing in the world no end, so we shouldn’t just pretend that it’s a normal weekend, because it isn’t.
