So they've got a rule book which says one thing but in practise they are doing another? Crazy.

The extract, below, is from Sam Wallace's article in the Telegraph on 18 April.

'Additional to that, Uefa and Premier League referees are advised to disallow any goal – deliberate or inadvertent – when it is the hand that directly propels the ball into the goal.

This will be part of Ifab law from next season but has been used as a guideline for referees for the last two seasons.'

UEFA saying the handball was not deliberate and not a key factor in the goal being scored. Bollocks !!!!

They're covering their arses - can't handle having to publicly state they got it wrong. To be honest, Halsey was more specific than this article - he named the UEFA refs bod who issued the Directive. Can't remember the name though.
