Spurs thread 2014-2015

Well that's them made a final.
I wouldn't write off Sheffield United. They park the bus and counter at pace pretty nicely under Clough and knocked a few premier league teams out last year as well as Southampton this year. Might be tough over two legs, but Spurs are that special kind of shit that makes anything possible.

Wouldn't qatar and abu dhabi have some kind of agreement not to get into direct competition though? I know they both have the airlines but don't think they are necessarily flying the same routes?

I have a feeling it will be west ham that qutar buy now that will be like us,new stadium and ripe for development

Ade's form has always been erratic, he'd start brilliant and tail off pretty hastily. The sad thing is he had huge potential, hard to find such a big, physical guy with good control and a finish.

He played well when Dim was there, Pochettino obviously favours Kane and Soldado.
Aedebayor is spurs' vice captain (somehow), so Poch must have trusted him. At least in the start of the season, he starts regularly, I think. Funny that the ones that kick up the fuss are captain Kaboul and vice captain Adebayor.

Anyone knows what the bust up is about? *popcorn gif*

I am a Spurs fan.

There was a bust up after the Stoke home defeat about Adebayor not pulling his weight. Adebayor, in turn, laid into some of the younger players like Mason and Kane. Kane and Adebayor had to be separated by staff. This continued over onto the Tuesday training session where Younes Kaboul and Etienne Capoue sided with Adebayor. Kane, Mason, Bentaleb and Townsend had a big row with them over this. Pochettino was called as he was in his office. He looked into the build up of the row and came down on the side of the younger players. Pochettino backed this up with stats to show how far Adebayor and Kane ran during their last five games. Kane's stats put Adebayor to shame. Adebayor would not accept this. Another row ensued. Adebayor, Kaboul (The vice and club captain if you can believe!) and Capoue were fined and told they would play no further part at Spurs until they started to put in the effort in training and matches of the younger kids that had broken through academy.

Adebayor will be got rid of in January. Even if Levy has to supplement his wages to find a taker.

Kaboul is on a final warning.

Capoue is still sulking, last i heard.

This is what Martin Chivers told me before a game.
Kane just set the record for distance covered in a game (for a striker) against Swansea. Doesn't really take much to see he puts in a far greater shift than Adebayor.

Good chance of silverware for them. I fully expect them to beat Sheffield Wednesday, then anything can happen in the final.
I reckon they've got no chance of beating Sheffield Wednesday...

...they might beat Sheffield United though!

His trademark peaks and troughs are well documented at Arsenal, then City then Spurs.

It is annoying as when he is on his game he is top quality. But young Kane has come in, stepped up with goals and Adebayor doesn't like it that a kid has usurped him.

But what does he do? Try harder or have a hissy fit? He thinks he has a right to play irrespective.

Well done on the win last night.

Spurs seem to be blooding a few good English players at the mo and long may it continue.
If Carl Jenkinson and Jon Flanagan can get caps, then surely the likes of Kane and Mason should be in the England squad at the very least.

Looking more and more like a Pochettino team now.

Pochettino has been playing the young players with Kane, Bentaleb and Mason all regulars in the team.

I expect there to be a few ins and outs in January with some experienced players leaving.

My missus was at the game last night and heard Spurs fans in the concourse cheering the announcement that they had been drawn against Sheff Utd. Pride before a fall and all that....

To be fair us City fans would have cheered too if we had drawn Sheff Utd rather than Liverpool or Chelsea.
