What do you expect him to say when specifically asked to comment on the accusation that his most important player bought a penalty? That Kane is a cheat and a disgrace? That he’s the only player in the world who would do such a thing? That he should be banned for three games and universally pilloried? That he should be ostracised within his own club?

Mourinho wasn’t having a “cry”. He was merely answering a question and, in the process, defending and supporting his player. Nothing wrong in that.

There is plenty wrong with that when your player is a persistent cheating,snidey,****.
This type of behaviour has become acceptable,and dickhead managers like Mourinho and Klopp,who are supportive of such dishonesty are a big part of the reason why.

I know it’s been said many times before, not least by me, but PEG is a fucking hypocrite!

One of Spurs' players - I forget which one - missed all three internationals with injury, but played yesterday.

I don't like Mourinho, never have but what I will say is his anti football could be timed to perfection. In a season of non stop muscle injuries it has to be beneficial to stand on the edge of your box and form a defensive wall. Less sprints equals less injuries. Kane will be injured soon enough like he has been for each of the last 3 seasons and we will fade away, if by some miracle he can stay fit then we have a chance.

Could FFP impact Spurs? @Prestwich_Blue

I can't imagine why it would. In so far as FFP is designed to prevent clubs running up huge losses, it is very much aimed at those that are spending unsustainably on players - transfers and wages. Spurs have comfortably the lowest wage to turnover ratio in the Premier League (maybe in England?) and their net transfer spend is modest. Bear in mind that, for FFP purposes, compliance is calculated over a number of years. And since Spurs have made big profits in previous years, they're in no danger of falling foul of FFP.

Also bear in mind that £71m of Spurs' operating expenses is actually only a paper cost - depreciation of the value of the stadium on the balance sheet. It doesn't represent actual money being spent. Even if it did, for FFP purposes, it would be deemed a new stadium cost. And new stadium costs are exempt from FFP.

Lastly, revenues for all clubs have obviously been massively affected by COVID. Which is why, I believe, there will be some kind of FFP amnesty until the business of football can return to normal.
