Spurs Vs City Post Match Thread

That first goal of theirs was offside but we presented the ball straight back to them as we did almost all game.

Had we gone in one up then it could have been a different game but they had their backs up and we didn't respond.

Too many players stunk the place out today. Toure, Sterling, Aguero, Kolarov mainly. Just not good enough.

Ouch! Defensive set-up really got found out today. First 30 minutes thought it was a question of how many we score and not how many Spurs would score. Plenty of poor performances and Kun can't buy a goal at the moment.
We are clearly not playing as a controlled unit at the moment.

Hope its not a weekend where we lose 4-1 and United, Arsenal, Pool, Chelsea and of course Spurs all win their game.

Btw imo it will that kind of weekend exactly and its fucking awful.

It will be interesting to hear how MP will explain this routing.

Still waiting on his explanation on inability to adapt to what's happening on the pitch. Been waitin' since he became our Manager. Will probably have to wait forever. If it's not working for us, then boo hoo. He has no valid plan Bs. He's never had any.

trying to be a bit of reason..........we currently don't have: hart, zab, kompany, clichy, mangala, silva, delph and bony all injured, Sergio not firing at all and raheem looking out of sorts. a full and fit squad would not have been beaten imo and certainly not 4-1! and to all the two faced people wingeing about txiki and the summer signings really need to chill the fuck out!! sterling, otamendi, de bruyne, delph, for the first team was a stunning window and every fan on here agreed!! show some steel, it has been a shit day at the office and quite rightly we will get pelters from the media etc but things have been worse and we WILL get our mojo back!
Am most certainly in your camp! Nail on head

I have been saying this for ages now : we need a big mouth in the team, a real captain in the mold of a Paddy V.
One who will drive full commitment from his teammates when the going gets tough.
Unfortunately, we have no-one in this squad to bare this inspiring role.

If the goals aren't going in and you're on the shitty end of the stick from visually-challenged flag-wavers, yer need three or four players who can make a verbal, physical presence. We seem to have a team that relies solely on talent, and when that talent needs a bit of a shine, we struggle.

Pellegrini has got to do something about ordinary fuckin' teams that have little to offer but athleticism and organisation. We will have to live with those with less than 20-20 vision on the line but he has to make a positive contribution when we are up against a stubborn side or even a side with a modicum of talent working harder and doing the simple things better. We are not producing whole team performances, and too often, for a team with aspirations to put a trophy on the sideboard, too many halves without any performance.
