Squeeze

Bump.
Just a quick heads up to any Squeeze fans on Bluemoon.
( I know there are quite a few of us on this forum).
It's their 50th Anniversary Tour next year.
They are playing at the 02 APOLLO on Saturday 12th October 2024.
Tickets go on sale this Friday 1st December at 10.00am.
I'll be buying a couple of tickets for me and the wife.
We've been to 4 or 5 Squeeze concerts in the 90s and 2000s and they are a great band to see live.
If you don't attend then all I can say is that
"You're really Up The Junction" !!!
Tickets sorted for this gig.
Row 00 in the stalls , so hopefully not too from the stage.
£91 for me and the wife to attend.
"Take me I'm yours".

Bizarrely, Squeeze are now trending on TikTok - it's pretty wild, loads of 20 year olds dancing to Up The Junction and discovering a great band.

Social media is on the whole an awful place but every now and again something like this happens and it can be a positive thing.

Same thing happened to Kate Bush as well.
Another great artist from the late 70s/ early 80s.

Kate Bush blew up among young audiences thanks to Stranger Things. Personally I can’t stand her voice but still good to see young people discover older music!

I wonder if Squeeze have been in some viral tv show or something?

Thanks for bumping the thread and reminding me, just bagged a couple myself. Also just bought tickets for Richard Ashcroft's homecoming gig at Robin Park, so that's July & October's highlights boxed off.

It was great to see Chris and Glen being interviewed on BBC1 earlier today.
I believe they were performing at Glastonbury this afternoon and were talking about when they both first went to Glastonbury in 1971.
They both looked in good shape, particularly Chris who is 70 later this year.
Definitely " Cool For Cats" !!!

Touring the States soon with Boy George.
