Has anybody else noticed that the tickets have double barcodes on? one on each end, concession and adult.. anyone entering will only use 1... think about it...

That's just the way the tickets are printed, they have the same barcode.

no. because not all season ticket holders would turn up - just like the FA Cup games, just like the European games. How great would the press be if the team turned up in a half empty stadium.

hows it gonna be full when the 48k were handed out so indiscriminately? A guy I know got at least 4 but lives a long way away and is not now coming, how many more like that are there? dont worry mate I will get one, one way or another, even if I have to pay for it; 50 years of supporting City, I will not miss this, in the same way I will save any way I can to always have my season ticket and get to as many aways as I can. The fact is the lads I have been going with for decades who also go everywhere also haven't got tickets, one of the lads 2 sons who go everywhere havent got tickets, yet others allegedly got handfuls and can distribute them as they like, to anyone, irrespective of whether they have ever been to a game or not, whilst the 2 lads are in bits cos they go everywhere with City but cant go and see them in the ground with the cup, I am sorry for my language but this is a dirty rotten fucking scandal of the highest order, and City administratively still have not got a clue, and the c***s want 2.5k out of me for this superbia bollocks, disgraceful, anyway bed for me, hangover tomorrow

Irrespective of individual financial situations, season card holders have and do invest more in terms time, money, emotions, commitment and often sheer bloody earache from partners..
Not being elitist at all, it's just basic facts. You invest more on all counts by committing at the start of every season and turning up every week than not doing, however valid and understandable the reasons for not going may be.

Why should the club give every season ticket holder a ticket for it when they all won't turn up, this way the ground will be full as it should be. Can you imagine only 25,000 turning up, would be a shambles.

The best way should of been distributing them out on the day.

I agree, the best way would have been to be to queue up for 1 per person, like it used to be in the old days, queue up all night for a ticket at the scum swamp, not 4+ per person who happens to be lucky enough to have been there right time right place

Isn't it gonna be, well, boring, if other City " events " are any barometer? I am taking the kids to see the cup/players etc and reckon they would be well bored at Eastlands.
It might take a lot of people off the streets too and kinda spoil the impact.
I dunno, maybe I am too old, but to me seeing it in Albert Square, on an open top bus, throught the streets of Mcr, old skool and all that is far better.
Fireworks and buzzers and bells just isn't for me really.
Though like many others on here, I saw it last week so maybe am not getting the Eastlands bit fully..

They just gave them out willy nilly, it was wrong.

EVERY seasoncard holder should have automatically been allocated a ticket, if they can't make it they give it someone else, just the way it is. you could use it on the night to gain entry to the stadium.

but you don't make it a free for all, i know 4 people going who don't even support city, they don't have a general interest in football in itself, but it was appealing to them to go to a parade and a party.
