I dunno, maybe I am too old, but to me seeing it in Albert Square, on an open top bus, throught the streets of Mcr, old skool and all that is far better.
Fireworks and buzzers and bells just isn't for me really.
Though like many others on here, I saw it last week so maybe am not getting the Eastlands bit fully..
You're making out like you can't do both. I reckon plenty will.

They just gave them out willy nilly, it was wrong.

EVERY seasoncard holder should have automatically been allocated a ticket, if they can't make it they give it someone else, just the way it is. you could use it on the night to gain entry to the stadium.

but you don't make it a free for all, i know 4 people going who don't even support city, they don't have a general interest in football in itself, but it was appealing to them to go to a parade and a party.

exactly. City didnt have to make it an indiscriminate farce but they did do, and hence all sorts will be there; and a lot of the right people will not be there. The MAJORITY of the loyal fans are those who buy the season tickets; the MAJORITY of those who do not buy season tickets COULD buy cup game tickets at £15 a go for adults, and based on the cup attendances the MAJORITY clearly choose not to do so. So why indiscriminately shit on the season ticket holders when we have a party to celebrate winning something? Madness, makes no sense at all

Re: stadium party - a cock for loyal fans

they have got to get rid of the beer and pie's that they didn't sell on tuesday ?

If this converts one of the 4 to City fans it will be well worth it.

Re: stadium party - a cock for loyal fans

Manchester's not a wealthy City and many City fans cannot afford tickets for a normal match. This gives those fans a chance to feel a part of the club. Good luck to anyone who got a ticket and good on City for making it free.

I was at stadium today and plenty of fans were fuming about the shambolic distribution of tickets, What happened to the plans to reward loyalty when on Tuesday they were issued in a complete free for all with limited prewarning,

Surely all season tickets should have been activated as a priority?????

It is a free stadium event for city fans. Nothing to do with season tickets, which incidently have now finished until next season. The thing is, had the club just decided to have the parade there would have been no problem but because, at very short notice, they have decided to stage a free stadium event for blues poeple are getting their nickers in a twist.

It was anounced as a free event on a 1st come 1st served basis. Nothing to do with stkts. Probably good to get a bit of new blood in the stadium too.

Well said mate, going to be a great day and all for free.

Re: stadium party - a cock for loyal fans

Some serious moaners on here if you aren't happy go and support someone else!
Free parade after just winning our first trophy in 35 years, 3rd in the league and still moan, moan and more moaning. Our club isn't perfect but it's not that bad. No wonder this forum is referred to as Bluemoan amongst many city fans.

Agree mate, I have said on here before, that I have been lucky to know and meet blues who are sorted and level headed.
However it is only since I joined this forum have I discovered that we have some wankers.
And before anyone starts I am not having a go about opinions. I am having a moan (yes is catching) about the serial whingers.
I wont name them, but some are acting like a spoilt child who doesnt want to share its toys and wants its own way.
Its time you people grew up and realise how lucky we are to have great owners and being able to aford and partcipiate in the greatest football journey ever as a city fan.

Agreed, it's been an utter farce from start to finish.
the biggest farce was not allowing the cup to be paraded on the lap of honour in respect of the Stoke fans.........fuckin sick and spineless

Not parading the Cup in front of the Stoke fans, and the world, was the clearest indication of dignity, class, and magnanimity in victory. Were the boot on the other foot, what would City fans have thought if every Stokie turned up on Tuesday in the away end with a plastic shiny Cup and jeered every skyblue touch with a shake of their foil cups? MCFC - twice the class of others!

Re: stadium party - a cock for loyal fans

I can't think of anything worse than an orchestrated knees-up where the annoying tannoy man will be doing his best to get the party rocking.
I'll be up a lamp-post in town
