Christ, people here will whinge at just about anything.
You don't think people who queued up, were told we'd run out of tickets, and couldn't make the trip to the stadium midweek, and know non-City fans (even rags) are going instead don't have a justification for moaning that City fucked things up?

No, not really.

Re: stadium party - a cock for loyal fans

To all the season ticket holders or "real blues" who haven't got tickets.....STOP MOANING!

The club has put on a free event for fans, an added bonus, something they didn't need to do. But all they get in return is "it's not fair, it's not fair" Life isn't fair.

They are doing something for us fans, just becasue you have a Season ticket doesn't mean you're entilted to the world. If I was sorting it out I would think "why do I bother if all I get is grief".

They have also put on a parade that is non ticketed so it's not like you will be sitting at home moaping as you are "missing" out.

Re: stadium party - a cock for loyal fans

If the club had allowed every st cc or access card holder entry then we would have about 100,00 trying to get in to 48,000 seats, it would not have worked.
Now some fans that travel the length and breadth to the country will not be able to get into the ground for the homecomming, but most of them will have been there when it mattered.
I was there when Yaya scored, I was there when Carlos lifted 35 years of hurt.
if my transfer to the NW of England had came through in time, I would have been in Albert Square on Monday evening, but let those that didnt make it to Wembley enjoy the evening in CoMS, cause there will be plenty more events like this, and if it means that more Blue shirts are seen then red, then so much the better.
(& as for the remarks about who is the better Blue, some of those tickets will have been handed to wives that hve had to look after children all week and the all day Saturday, or whenever $ky think we should play, as thir partners follow their one true love, surely they deserve a night out after the earache and heartache that they have received over the years.

Re: stadium party - a cock for loyal fans

i dont know why people are moaning manchester city are a club for the people of manchseter, this parade gives a chance for local people who cant afford to go, go just like the hamburg game, plenty of locals and the fans that youst to go/would love to go, but cant always afford to.

Re: stadium party - a cock for loyal fans

There's 2 schools of thought on this I suppose.
1. Loyal fans and therefore season ticket holders probably should have had a window where they could just activate their cards. They are by and large the people who contribute most to the club. City fucked up on this.
2. A lot of season ticket holders will have seen us lift and parade the cup at Wembley and in real terms City's 36000 season ticket holders are a relatively small proportion of City fans. Not everone can afford or is in the position to be able to go to games. Maybe this is there chance to feel part of the action.

I'm a season ticket holder and didn't get my arse into gear in time. I was gonna take my Missus who doesn't have a season ticket. I was initially really pissed off but if it gives others the chance to go then all's well and good. I was lucky enough to be there at the final and I know how disappointed I would have been if I'd not managed to get a ticket. My gut feeling is that this stadium celebration will be pretty shit anyway.

Let's forget all this moaning and celebrate whether it's on the streets or in the stadium.

Sums it up Perfectly.

I don't have a season ticket as i cannot make every game, but i do go to as many games as is possible(partner works nights and have 2 young children). I would have loved to go to Wembley twice and a few more aways but it just isnt possible. So i did what i could to get tickets for mondays event.

I am no less of a blue than most of you season ticket holders, why should i miss out?

Re: stadium party - a cock for loyal fans

These tickets were available outside the ground before the Stoke game on Tuesday.

Any moaning Season Ticket holders could have got one then....although I don't see why they should Season Ticket holders should get first shout for a free event that's not even a game.

Your season ticket guarantees your seat every game and gives you first shout for away and cup games...that's about it. Anyone would think ST holders had shares in the club or something....

This is the problem though.

I'm a season ticket holder, not enough points for the Final so missed that, queued up to no avail on Tuesday, in work Weds/Thurs - now I miss out on Monday.

It almost makes me feel like I'm not part of the club at the minute.
