Star Wars VII

Watched it yesterday.

I thought the acting for the most part was excellent, Finn in particular, but the story was disappointing considering the last film was left so open. Seems they took the tried and tested route rather than the creative one.......

There are so many plot holes I can't be bothered to list them all and it was disappointing to not have any character development at all which just meant having lots of unanswered questions. I did like the battle with the light Kylo Ren was having, also the fact he wore a mask in homage to vader rather than to hide disfigurement, gave the impression of an adolescent mind fighting with inner life choices/conflict. I also suspect he has not been fully trained but has a lot of raw force power, demonstrated by some of his displays of abilities and countered by not be able to control his emotions...

They rushed the end of the film or it ended up on the cutting room floor because it was very poor indeed...I mean Luke didn't even speak (and looks about 2 stone over weight the fat git).

Is Ren's light sabre jaggered for effect or because he's untrained? I mean it looked ace..

I thought it was brilliant. Spoilt by me constantly checking city/Arsenal score. (yes I missed a city game coz I have a family/life before I get pellers). So will have to watch again without the stress/anger to get a proper opinion. Did anyone else think oliver reed had risen from the grave in the end scene?

As he never completed his training he does not have the skills to make a proper lightsaber, the vents on the side are exhaust ports because it overheats so if he didn't have them it would explode that's the theory.

The only problem i have is how she managed to beat him, kind of took the edge of him,he was looking bad ass till that, shes had no training at all, other that that it was a great film

I heard we're getting Pep mate...

Well, apart from the shyte writing, the best bit was the 'organic' fighting (well, most of it) with the sabres.

And I remember saying I thought Finn was 'force sensitive' ages ago, only to be shot down!! Isn't that why Ren senses him in the film, at all?

Perhaps with Rey and Finn the force gets stronger/ they 'feed off each other' and why they're so ready to fight against an evil they should really be running from?

With he and Rey converging, perhaps my theory will come to pass and "The Force Awakens" will actually make sense as a title!

Who da fook knows?
