Having waded through the various transfer threads (esp Sanchez) I was getting a bit weary of the transfer speculation but this post catches my eye. If we were a really world beating side who would we add to this list (which I agree is our core starters). I think if we look at the current set of players possibly up for transfer we would struggle to fill the back four with anything better than we have. Sanchez fills a void in midfield if he is as good as they sat he is, but any obvious others?

Would love Sanchez at City as he looks a great player but if Barca are in the running then he would obviously join them over us. If Tevez leaves then Asamoah Gyan would be a great signing.
