6m on a potentially great defender, full international and 7m on Clichy, a player with prem,champions league experience. Both young also so have time to improve as players.

So i assume he has got a Work Permit? or is he getting loaned out until he can?

According to the OS he has been granted a work permit:

Savic was granted a work permit by the Home Office thanks to his prominence in the Montenegro national team who are currently England’s main opposition for a place in the Euro 2012 finals next summer.

Someone posted the details earlier in this thread I believe. It was something along the lines of several weeks or you could pay a fee to expedite the case. I think it was 500 pounds for one day or a lesser fee to put it somewhere around 2-3 days.

That's just from memory and second hand, though.

What's the deal with the 4 year contracts? I thought previously we'd done 5 years but Savic and Clichy seem to be on 4 years? With amortisation doesn't it make sense to have a longer contract especially with FFP?

Anyhoo welcome to Manchester Stefan. Great to see we are getting seemingly decent players without spending a fortune.

I must admit to be rather deliriously happy that we got two players for a reported 13 million.
