We seem to be rank amateurs when we are up against other top teams for a player.

Interestingly enough the three players we've tried to sign for this very position we've had inadequately filled for the past 3 seasons, Sanchez, Hazard and Isco. Maybe it's just cursed.

And that qualifies us as rank amateurs ? We just fail every time another club is involved ?

Makes you wonder how we got Navas or Silva or Aguero or anyone else. I guess nobody was interested in them.

Well, I wouldn't say rank amateurs ;) but I do think we started to overstate our importance a good few seasons earlier than we should. I just thought it interesting he's asked for examples and all the best ones are in the very position we're trying to bring in Jovetic to fill.

ahaha wow, so after Isco this is oncoming. Anyway, I've said before Jovetic isn't what we really need the most, but we should not let him go to Man Utd especially since they probably want him to fill Rooney's spot.

We should really stop haggling and just go all out to get that X factor player, every time we haggle and drag conversations other teams step in. Let's go get Lamela or Draxler.
