Absolutely nowt like Edin. More akin to the way Paul Gascoigne used to play, also has attributes like Kaká. A real quality player for me. The thing is we already have Samir and David, and I don't think we're in for him!

Jovetic for Dzeko

Sorry to start a new thread but this could be our big transfer this window.

Various media outlet in Italy are reporting that City and Juve are discussing Dzeko which would allow us to buy Jovetic.

Thoughts?

I've never seen Jovetic play so cant comment on him, but I cant see us keeping Dzeko happy, Balo, Tevez and Aguero plus Guidetti is strong enough imo. Isn't Jovetic more of a midfield player?

I really like Edin, but honestly, he needs to be playing week in, week out. I'd love Jovetic at City. He's a class, quality player already.

Thats right - couldnt see the purpose of buying Edin in the first place as Mancini must have known he was never going to use wingers? Dzeko is world class, but needs two winger supply to feed him properly. Didnt help that our only one - AJ was always played on the 'wrong' wing for supplying.
So, in fairness, we must let Dzeko go to enable him to flourish..........................Jovetic on the other hand, looks perfectly suited to our current style. A 'swap' would therefore suit all parties.

Come on hes a top quality striker but world class really? World class players can adapt to any style of play.

Back-up for Nasri / Silva / Tevez, in the line of 3 behind the striker, I'd think.
