That's not their asking price exactly, it's the buy-out price, he'd sell for a lot less, probably in the vicinity of £18m-£22m. Somehow I doubt Adebayor would agree to go to Fiorentina nor could they pay his wages. RSC might be a possibility but again it depends on wages, he isn't earning peanuts...

Not sure about that, they've only scored 23 goals all season including a staggeringly low 4 (in 10 games) away - the lowest in the league. But they probably have a budget and I'm not sure even RSC would fall within it.

Fiorentina starlet Stevan Jovetic has insisted that he has every intention of honouring his contract with the club.

The Montenegro international recently penned a new five-year deal with the Viola and, despite the fact that he has reportedly attracted the interest of Real Madrid and Arsenal in the past, he claims that he has no desire to leave the Artemio Franchi.

"Fiorentina is my future," he told Sky Sport Italia. "I signed because I want to stay here for the five years.

"In Florence, I'm happy. People expect me to play well and score goals, so I'll try not to disappoint. I am happy in this city."

Following his brace of penalties in Sunday's 3-2 win over Udinese, Jovetic has struck 12 goals in 17 Serie A appearances for the struggling Viola so far this season.

I know City fans do not like the taste right now, but he is sort of like Nasri. In that he is not an all out anything, but quite good at everything. But above all that, he has an "IT" quality about him. He is a live-wire of sorts. Immense technical ability, a super brain, and some pace. Not top end blistering, like most City fans seem to be asking for, but quick enough, and quicker with his decision making.

Hazard mark 2 then? :)

He is being linked to us in Italy again. Given his versatility and ability to play on the wing or behind a striker there could be something in it? But as usual fees like £24million are thrown around which is getting really tiresome, maybe we should go looking in the Dutch or Spanish leagues as Italian teams just want to rip everyone off.

great player i think he is exactly what we need a very skillful, versatile and tricky player. can play in any one of the front 4 positions for city ,still very young so there's room for improvement, doesn't seem to have an ego problem his wage's shouldn't be astronomical and with fiorentina's position at the bottom half of serie a transfer fee should be negotiable. saw him play against bayern in 2010 in the cl he tore them apart and he's actually got better would love to see him at city.

according to todays reports he is now available. I don't know much about him but the Forum thread seems to rave about him. Besides it would be nice to knock 'arry out of the ball park:
