still happy with the loss today and fa cup final

If the op had said still happy with second and FA cup final then yeah I can agree with that, but happy when you get beat like we did today and use an excuse like we played 3 times in a week and on a big Wembley pitch! FFS

Only people who should be happy when City lose are the fans of other teams!

We lost the title in August, when the right funds were not given to Mancini,as for today tiredness set in unlucky blueboys.

have to say, i agree. our problems started in the summer
Not sure about that

Had Balotelli played with the desire he shows for Italy and AC Milan we'd have had no problem

Likewise Dzeko and Bosnia

Maybe it's just not possible to have 25 players in a squad and keep these stars happy.

Is the answer to buy a Cavani or a Falcao and then see Tevez or Aguero want away because they lose their place? We need a mixture of players at different levels in their career. Star players and players coming through from the Academy.
You had to really think back in August though, with the loss of de jong and multiple transfers that we just didnt go for that we needed, that we were in for a tough season.

sinclair, garcia, maicon each offer nothing to us in terms of quality or strength and no better than what we already have, if not worse. united got rvp, and its proved to be the difference. when we had players injured, banned, away at ACON, we didnt have the quality to step in and do a decent job

I was, up until today, hoping of the miracle of winning all our matches and Rags bottling it big time. At least now I can enjoy rest of season without that pressure and am so looking forward to Cup Final. Without that, god! I would be pissed off.

Your happy FFS.
Doesn't matter how many points were behind, we keep going until the last.
Don't believe comments like these.
Piss poor tactics from Bobby didn't help though.
players bottled it
Milner has picked up an injury

lack of concentration and not taking chances

Milner has picked up an injury
i dont think its a injury that will keep him out of the game on the weekend it was a knock and mancini said it was down to him being a bit tired aswell

knocks are what you dont need with 3 games in a week
2 days with treatment on a swollen ankle or foot and your playing again and the next thing you get another knock on it makes it even harder to settle down again

i know our best 11 can beat anybody in the premier league home and away its just getting them fit to play all season we have been hit hard with players picking up a injury at the wrong time

maybe we can just walk it home from here and get 2nd place with 3 home games and 2 away and 5 points clear of arsenal with a game in hand 6 points clear of chelsea and 7 clear of spurs

so if my math are ok win the 3 homes games and we have 2nd place in the bank
i also think we will win both away games aswell
the game before the wembley final i would play the 2nd team and take the first team away for a working break somewhere warm and sunny

same here, believe that if we wanted we could of won that match, but we didnt really go for it

FA CUP lets win it

like i said before we are not going to win the league are we
even if we beat spurs today utd have the points in the bag and fighting a lost battle with the fa cup final to play is dangerous and players will burn out before the cup final

maybe players can have a off day and spurs are a match for anybody on there home pitch so lets not get to down

-- Sun Apr 21, 2013 9:46 pm --

FA CUP lets win it

thats it matey you could see the players not give it 100% today spurs are a match for anybody at home and we played well for 70mins but that little thing in the players mind saying FA CUP FINAL we must win

its not right but its ok

If you are really feeling down, remember that Chelsea have been knocked out of 7 competitions this year (it may be 8). It doesn't mean much for us of course, but shows that it can always get worse!

ok we got beat today but we played 3 games in a week and a wembley semi final vs chelsea on that pitch

we was never going to catch utd even if we won today so maybe mancini is playing
with players who will not start in the cup final and give them a rest and thats right in my book you got to keep the best players fresh and ready for the final

top 4 is in the bag and 2nd place is ours if we win our homes games then all good and happy today nobody pick up a injury and we move on to the next game

Top 4 isn't quite in the bag yet by my reckoning , but both that , and a 2nd placed finish WILL happen should we manage to win our three remaining home fixtures , as you say ...... todays result , whilst alarming , wasn't quite a disaster for us , and we have bigger fish to fry with the forthcoming cup final , but nevertheless it should serve as a warning for next season .... results like that won't be tolerated next time around , not if the manager values his job.

This is surely the most stupidest quote of the day!!! I'm sure the thousands of city fans who travelled to London today feel exactly the same way, because if we wanted to win we could have but nah fuck it we might aswell lose and save ourselves for the fa cup final in 3 weeks time???
