Stoke Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Lots of relevant reasons/excuses for the performance. But, he's had this squad together for over 2 months now, there are no recognizable tactics at play, players look lost, and there are few clear chances on goal.

Bloody Hull, Cardiff, and Stoke look better than us!

At least with Mancini, we almost always dominated games but came undone from stupid mistakes or a lack of finishing. Against Stoke we usually had them pinned in their box and just couldn't score. Now we just look like a bunch of second rate strangers.

Yes MP deserves to be given a few games before the verdict is in, but it's not exactly looking good is it?

It's not going to happen but we need to get back to the approach we played last season - with better players we will at least have a base to build on and then we can start introducing some of MPs ideas. Right now it just looks like we have thrown the baby out with the bath water.

Not as bad as everyone is making it sound. Not a good performance, but decent result considering all circumstances. Expectations seem to be a bit unrealistic and unadjusted from what we have seen thus far. Player by player:

- Exceeded expectations: Hart, Kolarov, Garcia, Rodwell, Milner (for me Milner was the best and saved our defence on a few occasions).

The rest didn't play well.

I agree, it's ridiculous for fans of the team that finished 5th, 3rd, 1st and 2nd in the last four seasons to expect a decent performance against a team likely to finish in the bottom half.
Should we also be happy losing against teams likely to finish in the top half?

Where is this so called sexy football they promised??
Worried!!
the only way we're going to see sexy football is if the players grow handle-bar moustaches and wear leather shorts.
