The people at the top of any organisation should earn no more than ten times than the lowest paid worker in that organisation.

Do you really believe that? If so, how can you stomach the thought of supporting a football club who pays its top players 10 times as much in one week as some of its workers get paid in a year?

City don't count!

Well, at least you're honest :-D

if it needs a revolution to get rid of these banker led tory twats then yes

"banker led tory twats" - interesting view, what makes you think that?

The same bankers that were led by Labour not two years ago? Weird how no-one complained them...

The fact of the matter is...under a third of all teachers voted for this strike. In other words nearly 70% either didn't vote or voted no.

But seeing as there is no rule that a certain amount of people have to vote before a ballot can be called fair, say 70%, what can you do?

92% of teachers who voted, voted in favour of a strike. Not every teacher voted, but I'd be suprised if many votes for any agenda got more than 92% in favour so to say most teachers are against the strike is ludicrous.

Just another note in regards to teachers' pensions - researc the average life expectancy of teachers compared to other professiond and tell me that teachers don't deserve a decent pension.

So 92% of a 33% turnout voted in favour of strike action, well I ain't a mathematician but according to my calculations that makes a little over a quarter of teachers belonging to a union voted in favour, hardly a model of socialist democracy is it? And what the fucking he'll has life expectancy got to do with it ffs? There is a lot more dangerous work out there, like ventriloquist, women's auxiliary balloon corps, the list is endless! Life expectancy of a frigging teacher, ffs that's the best one yet, they won't need a pension then will they?

Ok, lets say there were 40 million people in Britain who were eligible to vote in the last general election. The conservatives didn't recieve 21 million votes from those 40 million so does that mean that everyone wanted Labour to stay in power? What a ridiculous argument!

I was hoping for a better bite that that BTH! :-)

I'm well versed in how Banks create money and let me tell you, its the bosses who make the big bucks, while the rest of us (bank workers that is) get shafted equally/worse than public sector workers. The difference is, if our offices went on strike, which we wouldn't, it could literally bring the country/world to a standstill.

It's even been mooted that in a potential massive terrorist situation, precisely that would happen. A major high street bank who I wont name would shut down their desks, creating such a backlog as to essentially stop the world. Scary, but it's out there.
