Pension negotiations seperate, this is flexi time etc, thing is people forget the union made sure women weren't just sacked for getting pregnant, maternity leave, part time for women ,childcare etc, union definetly needed in civil service, due to cuts the higher ups are lookin for any excuse to bin people off to save money,we got this thing in "lean" says its better way to do things,in other words job cuts.
There is a lot going on the public aren't told

You dont mean the same LEAN that removed the checks and balances that ensured that customer data was secure within the old CSA before it was rebranded CMED? and ultimately when the security checks were removed and massive amounts of data were lost, then sought to blame to lowest paid member of staff that had handled the data in the new format?

OK, I thought so.

Didn't know that, but yeah that'll be the same shit that says one thing but does another

I do feel for those who feel the need to strike but if the coffers are empty then what can you do ?
Foreign aid,Chase up Vodafone etc for the 6 or 7bn they won't hand over?
Amazon. Google uk, Boots (HQ of a PO Box in Switzerland employing zero staff), The arcadia group including Burtons, dorothy perkins, Top Shop, Top Man etc, PWC, Deloitte, etc etc, the coffers are only empty because those in power are in the pay of those that choose not to contribute back into society.

This is why i want it all scraped and started again.
We are bent as buggery here and politics if riddled by it.
Beyond shootings at dawn i can't see how we get to a state of transparencey and genuine honesty from politicians.

Hehe i fully agree with the aid stuff, however i think thats all cloak and daggers to keep them sweet with us for many a wonderful reason.

I think cash owed we may as well write of because no bugger will be stumping up i bet.

How much do vodafone owe ? bloody hell how did they get away not payint it, tax i assume ?

They've had to shut down stores on a Saturday on market st cause of protests about it,in London as well

These figures may be a couple of years out of date now but they were reported to have "negotiated" away a £6 BILLION tax bill in return for paying £800,000 up front and £450,000 over five years, their head of tax was former HMRC man John Connors.

Oh, has anyone mentioned Starbucks yet? I would hate them to miss out

Yeah this stuff i hate, if your an mp you should have as little connections as possible with big business apart from the few who really need to know that stuff.

Pretty sure all Daves cabinet are MD of this and ceo of that which must see so many deals under the table done.

I should stress i hate all our political parties, not just the cons.

When the PCSU General Secretary Mark Serwotka stood for election in 2000, he pledged that be would only accept the equivalent of an average civil servant's wage if elected.

In 2011 his total remuneration package was over £125,000. So all civil servants are obviously well off.
Most union members are not remotley interested how much there leaders are on .what concerns them is that they represent them to the best of there abilaty .Each year the leaders of the Unions stand for election as he has been head of the Union for 13 years he must be doing right .Well done for all those who supported the Strike

Well they should be.

No union busy body should be on that amount of cash.

If they are willing to accept that then more fool them.
What makes you an expert on what a Union Leader who is elected each year by the membership should be on ? The package he is on will be carefully audited & will probaly include .transport ,acomadation .secretary .pension alowance .I would rather a hard working union leader get that sort of money rather than the free loading Cabinet Ministers

Are you telling us, the Union Membership, what we should be concerned with?

What makes you one ?

I run a company and known the inner workings of it for much longer.

I do all sorts of jobs beyond the actual production of what we make so yeah i do know a bit about business and what the efforts are.

I dare say i know more than you considering your pitifully ignorant last sentence.

How about he get's paid a wage fitting his job of say max 47k a year 57k with benefits and addons.

'Probably' be carefully audited.

I would construe the above of being nothing more than a guess.

With that i probably have a better all round idea of his workload than you when i have to be part accountant, part supply manager, quality control officer, saler rep and business face of the company.
Financial director, health and safety officer and human resources, the list goes on.

All that for a hell of a lot less than what he earns and i actually make stuff we sell abroad, you know actually helping the economy.

-- Wed Mar 20, 2013 11:05 pm --
